Yeah, that's the very same thing I picked up from Likkezg back in 2019. This might have been something posted on Discord in 2022 upon request for the latest build, but this is not a 2022 build, it's the 2019 build.

FYI for people on the fence or anything... I think it's worth supporting him a dollar or something small a month. He's very slow with updates and everything but he's VERY active on his discord and pretty open to engagement on his stuff. You can also follow his substar and join his discord for free if you want
Subbed on patreon then cancelled somewhere in June this summer. Prob worst case that i have seen of ,, One Day '' (source of such promises : trust me bro)
People waiting for a year or two of some text messages as ,, progress '' or one anim or two. C'mon, not due my UE5 experience (newbie lvl 7), but to anyone without it, it should be obvious when someone is developing a project and when they are not.

Milking or not, I know him from 2018. He works really slow, but i support him because there is one thing that he does best: quality. Following him on discord for past 4 years the quality of models and animations in best in this small industry. Last week he managed to make a build in UE5 for the first time so eexpect a release in the next few months of some demos and maps.
My point is, his quality only improves with time, if at least I don't support such creators that care a lot about their product (he really does judging by messages on discord) then the overall quality of this small industry will be worse and guys like Lord Kvento will, for real, milk their subs.

Looks promising but can we really say for certain that anything will come out of all of these developments? If he intended to milk us, he'd start with releasing some tiny demo with great animations/models while promising his supporters future updates without delivering. He'll get a lot more people willing to pay when they have something to work with at least. I don't think he's milking us, and if he is, he could be better at it - I just think he's slow and unstable in his work patterns.
I still look forward to any play-able or at least runn-able executables even if just a sim.

I used to support them on Patreon years ago. I don't think he is a "bad actor" or is "milking" us, because back when the war in Ukraine started said he fled the area to get away from the battlefield, and paused subscription payments during that time. It took him months to start accepting donations again. I think he had to get a new bank account, because his old one was from Russia, and had to buy new computer equipment as some of his old stuff was either lost or damaged. I could be misremembering some details about all this, but I think he's a good guy, and his art is really high quality.

He posted the picture, not the game itself on the faplife channel (in the server) 2 days before I made my post about it. Search for the picture, you'll find it. It could also just be a decoy cuz people asked when he expects it to release and he won't give a rough estimate so honestly, I dunno. People been asking since 2019 and here we are waiting so don't get your hopes up is my advice with this one.

I work with UE5 myself so i know a thing or two about how long things take to make.
So far i seen few models, that's few months of work, at the most. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaa the most. Aaaaaaaat the most.
Then few anims, that's few days of work too.
And Alyx's model walking next to combine soldiers, that's few hours of work or less.
In other words, i have seen, -
nothing.
Thus, exactly like you said, people, -
Many devs will avoid being straight forward with their fans that, it's kaput for the projects, because, that side income from Patreon is very juicy.

I wonder if someone started making their own half life alex inspired game that they would catch up to the currently known progress of this version within an year and suddenly progress starts being made on this one. As currently there's no other half life alex game or similar enough to this one to give competition. Until something changes I doubt this will ever get finished in within 5 years if ever.
Because yeah since I started watching the thread (I think 2 years ago now) there's been no progress at all. There's plenty other games that have been going on for an shorter amount of time that have done a ton more progress despite some of them being bigger in scope or scale.
