You see, I play FB for long time myself. I can´t remember the exact versionnumber, when I discovered the game, but it was in the early stages of Episode 2 Part 1 (to give a little hint, it was some time before the Escort Service was established and only Monica bared breasts in the Falling Path)

And you are absolutely correct, with Episode 1 the farm was a very important part of the story. But the game was way darker back then. Maybe at this time the farm was the ultimate goal. But as I stated before, the game grew and so the patreons.
A few older players were indeed not pleased with the lighter direction of the game. They wanted the conspiracy and the darker sinister tone. But the game went through the roof with the new direction, not with the old one.
And believe me, DM recognized that.
I´m not saying, that farm will not have an importnant role in future episodes, but you shouldn´t underestimate the number of the new players, which do not care about the farm.

I want to give a example from a very popular RPG: Fallout. Fallout 1 was my first RPG, I played it in 1997 and loved it. Bethesda bought the franchise and develeoped Fallout 3 ten years later. They completely changed the tone of the game and the veterans were pissed. But the truth is, even if I think the old Falllout is superior, the Bethesda Parts were more successful Players were even confussed, when the old spirit came back. I wittnessed this with New Vegas, loved by the veterans, but not as successful as it should be.

In the case of FB I´m a fan of the new direction, but with my example I wanted to show you, that I was in the other situation and in the end I had to deal with it.

We don´t know what the plans of DM are, but you shouldn´t be so sure, that ideas from the early beginning are still valid.
Maybe this is the case and DM stick to the plan. We will see, but you should be prepared, that the farm will not be so important as you are other veterans wish for.

I don't agree that the game was darker in episode 1. I would suggest one of the strengths of the game has been it's consistent tone through out. The menace towards Monica from Marcus, the lesbian shopkeeper, Steve, the prisoners and the cops is no different from ep 1 to their last appearance in ep 2 or ep3. Sure some events have been played for humour like many scenes were in episode 1. Decent Monkey has for sure dropped some characters and made others more prominent than he may have originally planned. I don't see that as any indication that his plans for the conclusion of the game or that his original plan for the final episode has changed.

The game going through the roof in popularity has more to do with Monica doing less stripping and becoming more sexually active than a lighter tone. Most of the complaints i see here are people calling the early parts of ep 2 grindy or they want less coercion and Monica to enjoy the sex. (I don't agree with either of those complaints)

If the farm gets dropped what is the point of the story continuing? It would just become Monica and co servicing their Johns one after another. I think the Farm needs to come into prominence in the final episode.

and also in revenge i want to see who was the guy who is manipulating everything (if i'm not mistaken when she goes to ask marcus for help the mother tells him to help her and monica says maybe she knows who the next fred is and Steve are arrested at Monica's house)

1. Monica is one of the most beautiful and unique female protgonists.
2. The game is incredible beautiful and has excellent erotic scenes
3. DM is reliable as a Swiss clock. Regular updates and interacting with his patreons
4. DM is listening to his audience and knows how to create good updates.
5. The game is presenting humiliation with a kind of humour and that is rare

The fourth and fifth point are the points why I think FB has changed. I gave some examples already, but the most prominent are Julia (for the Lesbian Lovers) and canncelation of Steves of Office Route (was in many polls the least favourite wished content from patreons)

For many players of FB the daily struggle of Monica and the corruption is the most favourite part of the game. And there is still so much to tell. Have you any idea how many updates are necessary to bring a satisfying ending to all routes. Maybe we are in the last third of the game, but there is plenty to tell and to show.
Monicas corruption was a slow burn and I love that. Nothing is more upturning than a too fast corruption.
So we still have plenty of time for her to come to term with the different routes

A very graceful decision, I really like it. I don't think anyone would mind such a thing. And the great thing is that Monica still has options to try to get her life and status back, even through the Farm. Shut up and take my money I want this game.

This thread is still getting questions from those players who don't fully understand how to do FB photo shoots properly. Thanks for your comprehensive and detailed reply, I've added it to the FAQ.

I think you are somewhat underestimating the importance of the Farm in the Fashion Business. In my opinion, for a large number of "old" players (and not just old players), Farm is the ultimate sacred point of Monica's itinerary, where she a priori had to get to. Let the DM team people correct me if I'm wrong, but sending Monica to the Farm is the canonical ending that was originally intended for FB. It's too forbidden and sweet fruit to just ignore. Also, I read that DecentMonkey in the early development of the Fashion Business was inspired by

, so the fact that the Farm should be one of the main locations in the game sounds pretty logical and reasonable to me.

For too long players have been teased about Monica's possible entry into the Farm and described everything that happens there too colourfully and vividly for them to simply give it up. I've seen too many questions from players saying like "When will Monica be on the Farm so we can take part in her adventures there?". So I think you can't just dismiss it and say, "We're kidding, the Farm is cancelled". Especially if the implementation of the Farm in the game, based on the current Patreon rules, is quite possible and would not be considered a violation.

I didn't know that DecentMonkey was inspired by Lida's Adventures (I keep imagining DecentMonkey watching our theories and discussions lol)

maybe decentmonkey makes an ending for each route that maybe pleases the guys who are following a single route (but i think the ending was almost right and maybe it might please most guys and some not) (my opinion)

The Steve office route is an interesting one. The idea that Monica needs to sexually satisfy her former detested underling was good. The problem was the execution. Repeating the same animation seven times with the lead up to it having the same conversation as if Monica was crawling under his desk for the first time was really poor. Those scenes would have worked much better if the conversation acknowledged Monica had done this all before and with each blowjob Steve gets more demanding, wanting her to go deeper each time with animations showing Monica struggling more and more to earn her 5 grand. That would have had the players wanting to return to Steve each week. In the end it actually became more of a chore.

I think there are many more updates still to come in this episode.

I see it the same way and as I said before your idea is very good and maybe DM has it planned that way. The only real disagreement is the canonical approach.

Regarding Steve:
I remember back in day, that the Photoshootings and the Falling Path were the most popular. I voted for them myself. Looking back I feel a bit sorry, that I didn´t gave the Steve Story Line more love.

Take note when you repeat a shoot of the dots on the arrows. They represent angles that you already saw the first time. Make sure you hit the arrows without a dot on the second shoot for the event list to be able to mark it complete.

You're at an early stage of the game. The dots came later.
Do a photoshoot where you use the first 2 options (top, middle) and a second one with the last option (bottom) so you get all angles/photos you need.

Victoria should not be removed from the game (in my deep conviction), she is the link to so many plot events. She can be punished (you will learn something unusual about her in one of the updates of ep3), but for now she is needed. It's like Quinn from Being a DIK. If you remove her, everything falls apart. I'm not a big fan of Victoria either, but karma works fine in this game and I think one day Victoria will get her boomerang back. Until that happens, I suggest we take it easy and enjoy the hot scenes.
