I haven't played this nor the older version until the end, but I can already say that this is so much better than the other one!
I remember that I was very enthusiastic back in the day when this game came up, because it touches many of my fetishes regarding this kind of games, but I was so bored to death with the pace of it that I couldn't stand it any more and had to gave up. I think I left it right after a strife with what I think was the black gardener or something.
I mean, normally I'm not against RPGM games (even though in this case it was not exactly that, but similar) and I can actually apreciate them, but I don't know, I just thught this game was so slow back then.
This just flows so much better now...! And the UI and interactive elements are very clever too. Very nice work done here in my opinion.

I havent played the other version but this is like a fraction of the size, is that because of image optimization or is it there that much less content?

Probably the best choice. Let the designer start with reviews from a modern version of his game, rather than allowing the averages to be dragged down by stuff he wisely abandoned.

Aye new scenes with the maid, much easier to play now. Game shows a lot of promise.
Looks like fun. Watching this and will play when there are a few more updates with more content under its belt.
