dunno but on this site and a couple of others the updates are way more regular then steam
i suppose u mean off-platform are file host sites like megaupload DM use megaupload

I hope I'm not wrong but I think decentmonkey is splitting episode 2 into 2 parts, as it weighs a lot in terms of space occupied, the extra 0.16 version weighs 10.2GB. So 2.2 could stand for the second part of the second episode which in the end is still version 0.17

From this point of view Fashion Business has never been like Summertime Saga that the updated version corresponds to the fact that you have to start from the beginning every time. If I'm right, version 2.2 will be nothing more than a normal update to which decentmonkey will perhaps remove some previous scenes to lighten the weight of the game, since as I said previously it has reached 10 Gb. I say this because in the past few weeks, the developer did a survey on patreon on the size of the game but I can't tell you how it ended up because I'm not a patreon user.
To be more precise, I refer to the first post on page 677 of this thread
