DM decided to split ep2 after v16. First part of ep2 is Ep 2.1 v16. The second part (was renamed to ep3 after Ep. 2.2 v3) is the latest update right now. And yeah, it's confusing, but we have to keep in mind that this game is under development.
short answer:
play Ep 2.1 v16 and after that the latest update (whatever it is called) and you won't miss anything

The last file I downloaded is EP2.1 v17 EXTRA and it's 3.66 GB. Now I'm downloading EP 2.1 v16 EXTRA and it's 10 GB file. Am I downloading the latest release ? Why v17 is shorter than v16 ? THank you.

In this update Philip was mentioned, so that could be one. Since Philip also new that Monica has lost everything right from the beginning when he met her at the hotel. And maybe the woman who manages the prostitutes in the slum area can be present in the next update. Since she was there from episode 1 but never has gotten any focus. She could have been the cause of all this.
If I understand it right ... Episode 2 was split due to large size.
First part of Episode 2 is complete at 2.1 v0.16
Second part of episode 2 is complete at 2.2 v(3)
2.2 does not contain files/story of 2.1 ... it is continued after 2.1 is played through. You can actually consider this a separate episode.
Episode 3 continues after that
Correct order to play is:
Episode 1
Episode 2.1 (whatever is latest version)
Episode 2.2 (whatever is latest version)
Episode 3
All of these should be considered separate episodes, and do not overlap the stories
We've got 1080, 720 and EXTRA ... They all have different sizes and/or content
Edit: We've also got "compressed" ones floating around. So that's 4 different kinds for the same episode.
Oh wait, my bad ... I believe Episode 2.1 v17 was split after 2.1 v16 ... and v17 has now been renamed to Episode 2.2 (v3) ... see my response above this post.

My long-standing wish is to see Monica's ministry in Philip's basement for a week. Preferably, in the form of 7 days of training with tasks changing every day for Monica. The teaser screenshot for EP3 ver 1 haunts me for a long time. Damn, in the end I want to see Monica sitting on this throne, commanding another bitch who serves Philip.
Developing a relationship with Marcus ... maybe ... there has been no progress in this storyline in a very long time.
I have long wanted the "boomerang" to return back to Victoria and she would switch roles with Monica and Melanie (at least for a while). In the end, such a reversal of roles would only add interest and spice to the game and the relationship of these three. I also want Monica to finally meet that mysterious rich man (Yulia's uncle) who can help them escape the country (I'm sure Monica won't be able to escape, but I definitely want to see this scene).
Continuation of the Shiny Holе storyline, of course. This is the best storyline so far after the main storylines (Office / Photoshoots). Dreams, dreams .. But I hope we will see at least some of this in the next update.

It is not a quick wank game for sure.
But It cannot be classified as grindy. You have a very clear menu/walkthrough that provide you with actions you have to archive.
In theory in few minutes you can accomplish all objectives.
Grind is another thing!
