I suppose I won't fully understand what you mean until I play it. In fact, I'm going to write it down so I don't forget

!
Yep, just be sure to get through episodes 2, 3, and 4 before 5.
The first Mortal Kombat games (up to MK3, I think) in the early '90s used real actors, except for monsters like Goro.
Actually, my favourite female characters in fighting games are still Mileena and Kitana from MK9 (if you know what I mean
).
Yes it is, I even saw a youtube video with these actors in the roles of Sonya, Kano, Johnny Cage showing how MK was made (MK1 and MK2 I think) Yeah, I always liked Kitana and Mileena too, but I liked Sonya the most because she was wearing really sexy tights and had a great figure, hehe.
I've read that the fighting minigame here is similar to "Punch Out!", a Super Nintendo game in which Mario was the referee.
I don't know, I haven't played the game, but obviously what DM did is not true Mortal Kombat, haha. Still, don't forget that the RenPy engine has its limitations, although the program code of DM itself is quite non-trivial and complex (as someone who knows Python and RenPy well told me), but limitations are limitations.
Actually, controlling Monica is quite simple,
you just have to click on certain interface elements on the screen to react in time to Charlotte's attacks, thus either going on the defense,( putting a block) or allowing Monica to attack or even counterattack. So yes, Monica and Charlotte
have a bar scales (of health and energy) above them, literally...like in fighting games.
Okay, I guess 1 spoiler won't hurt, but this way you'll understand roughly what it looks like.
And yes, these are not static renders, it's all fully live MoCAP animation, and all the moves and kicks are done by professional kickboxer girls (well, the DM wrote about it in the update description).
And Monica also has an
extra rage bar that fills up if the player misses punches.. And when that scale fills up, Monica can deliver an enhanced combo strike. All in all, I haven't seen anything like this in any AVN game..And I'm not talking about AVN, where simple things like models walking in a straight line are all pre-made animations by someone..
Just to understand, a similar Xsens suit (slightly newer model than the one DM used) in my country costs like a new not bad car (about 40 000$). But it's not enough just to buy this motion capture costume or even just to be able to rent it, you need to understand how to work with it, how to create MoCap animations, programming and be technically very savvy. So we are lucky that DM is such a dev.
