This game is on its conclusion path
That's true, just because the dev said so. But looking on the game events of a linear story and linear options during the scenes - it's not even started yet. A lot of things require explanation, continue or brunching of alt path. Like 90% of provided routes are not even close to looks finished. It looks cut down, from a player's side.
It's like the seller in a milk shop selling you a bottle of milk which is filled with milk on 10%, and you clearly see that 90% of available space in the bottle - is empty. And you say like - hey, where is the rest of the milk, why are you selling me almost an empty bottle. But the milker saying - no, i see it and deliver it as a full finished product, so don't argue that it's full bottle of milk. Silly example. But the same not honest thing is saying that this game is close to be finished, by its opened questions, lack of options, linear flow of every event in the game, and by its single linear storytelling.
You can't deny that facts, Even if you like that facts.
nothing to improve, nothing to change.
That's a shameless lie. And you know that. There is a hell ton of things to fix, to improve, to enlarge choices where possible, to add options where it necessary by the minimal requirement of the gameplay to become full and solid... but we both know that it will never be done. Why to make work if they pay for even that little? Right. No any sence in that.
But just to be specific - it's not about there is nothing to improve, but it's about there are a lot of what require improvement here, but it will not be improved, just because the dev declared that poor optional state of the game to count as "almost finished".
At this point in time the story conclusion makes sense only for those who followed the game and understood the dynamic behind the story.
That fits my case. I played all episodes. I replayed it to find another options. I found almost none. I do understand the thing what you called "the dynamic behind the story" - and imho it is poor, optionless, linear, but with gret flying cemera around very few scenes, just to declare in changelogs like "we delivering xxxxxx frames of animation" not telling that it's a flying camera in 2 scenes per update. Do you think it's fair. I see it as a kind of chetaing on statisic. Because most games are not using flying camera option, so their count of renders are about _dirrerent_ scenes with static points of view, so if to make a fair comparison - some games which provides like 6 scenes per update will count twice less renders than these 2 scenes update with a flying camera in it. Don't it looks like a cheating to you? But who am i asking. I know you like everything... That's a shame. But am not going to argue with you about that. I just said facts.
This is clearly not a fast food game but rather a journey that spammed through the years.
Well yes, it took years - to make and keep doing linear optionless thing. And don't allow it to change to a better state, not even a little. What an achievement...
DM put a lot of effort and the quality is everywhere.
I admit that qulity presented in renders, in decorations of backgrounds, in suits and models of characters. But - that's all. No quality at all in all the rest of the game parts. Choises are poor. Options are absent. Money in game, the main motivation of MC - have no significant usability. 99% of dialog options have ONE single option to "choose" for playing next. That's radiculous.
Cannot recall a game that kept those standards for such long period...
Well, i am not here to making comparisons. This thread is about this game and am talking about this game here.
Do it have strong sides? Yes, it have. Quite a few. Mostly in graphics.
Do it have weak sides? Yes, it have. Quite many. In everything else what a decent porn game should have to fit the minimal requirement of just even acceptable gameplay in it. And here's not the case. If to speak frankly, ofc.
