Apparently, I'm almost the only player here who truly hated the presence of that insolent little asshole in the game. BTW, I'll have to replay the updated version of Ep2 without Bardie sometime and see how the plot of the “Home” route has changed.Though it's probably easier to wait for the full Ep2 remaster, which I hear DM is also working on.

Don't bother. It is by far the inferior experience. I was never a huge fan of Bardie's content but ep2 without it is just less.

Okay, you could say they just add "step" to bypass those rules but in this case Betty really act like a step-mother and not like a mother just called landlady. Besides that there are no sexual interactions between Betty and Bardie.

But the college/school theme is an unwritten taboo, I don't know why...Of course, there are games like BaDIK that are quietly sold on Steam, but I think it's not touched because there's already an university setting there and it's guaranteed that there are no characters that look like minors/underage.

This is simply because it is assumed that if a character is still in high school then they are under 18, and almost all of these games involve sexual content with these characters in high school .

When you do decide to playthrough Ep2, you will undoubtedly find out that Bardie was college educated, not high school, however, it didn't help him. I'm telling you, high school or college doesn't matter, you just have to realize that it's taboo for Steam.

You can let minotaurs rape you loli FMC in all her holes and make her bear children by animals and monsters, but "college, you see, is a touchy subject for us, Steam guys and we simply cannot allow you to sell your AVN game through our platform" (lol). Just the fucking pinnacle of duplicity and double standards.

What's more, I got confirmation of what I was saying not too long ago when I came across a Steam moderator's response to one of the devs in which the taboo nature of school and even college was confirmed.

I have to say that in this case you will lose a lot of content (about 1000 renders and quite a lot of short animations), but if content with cheeky insolent assholes looking 14-15 y.o but claiming to be 18 y.o. is not what turns you on, then I guess you won't lose anything (except beautiful Monica, who was forced to participate in this outrage).

If one day the remake of Chapter 2 comes out (which I don't think it will, because it's too long), maybe there will be more options.

I too prefer more mature and less brash characters. Yes, there is a new version of Ep2 on patreon, without Bardie and without the known bugs. As for the remaster of Ep2v16...well, at least the dev himself wrote about it in one of his dev.logs, so it's not my fiction.

Yes, maybe there will be someone else instead of Bardie, but as I think, the main focus will be on simplifying Ep2 and reducing the amount of repetitive actions that some new players complain about. I.e. most likely, if the DM does well, Ep2 remaster will be similar to the new version of Ep3 v16, becoming an easier to get through AVN. And it's also likely that Ep2 will have improved animations/view angles refined, as was done in the Ep3 remaster (I haven't played this version of Ep3 myself yet, so how much better it is than the original Ep3 I can't say).

DM wrote that he didn't rule out that a new scene with some characters from this storyline might appear in the future, but officially "Falling path" is over in ep4 v8 and it got an appropriate ending.
