That was a pretty productive nights sleep. Wake up to two spoilers and an announcement of the release in less than 24 hours. Some may not have the story lines updated that they are looking for but we all know that the next update after this will release around the 20th next month.

Compare this to a game like City Of Broken Dreamers. Just had an update after 5 1/2 to 6 months, and I got through the update in an hour with reading every line of text. That game wont be updated until March or April next year. We the fans of this game are well looked after.

We all should appreciate Decent Monkey for his talent and work rate.

Compare this to a game like City Of Broken Dreamers. Just had an update after 5 1/2 to 6 months, and I got through the update in an hour with reading every line of text. That game wont be updated until March or April next year. We the fans of this game are well looked after.

We all should appreciate Decent Monkey for his talent and work rate.

The problem is not that the DM does not work well. On the contrary, it works quickly and productively and is the envy of many developers of other Adult VN games. The problem is something else - the global FB storyline is stagnant and quick work on each update won't fix that, as long as the point of effort is to create fillers (additional material) instead of advancing the main game's story. I'm not even talking about Monica's fate - it seems to have been forgotten about by everyone. With the talents of DM you can make amazing updates, but for that it's advisable to listen to the community or ask yourself - what exactly did I want to show/tell people in my game and what was my original goal?

And the worst thing is that we have no idea what the roadmap (and if there is one) of our game is. The DM just keeps quiet and it doesn't add clarity about where the game is heading (and I'm not talking about the new "Whoremeter" scale now, but much more serious stuff like the global plot and the fate of the protagonist).

As for City of Broken Dreamers - yes, it has a long update cycle comparable to Being a DIK, but there's a clear main plot thread - saving a very unusual girl. And on that backbone everything else builds, including sex scenes with other characters. And if memory serves me right, I saw a developer post somewhere where he roughly outlined a timeline for the completion of his game. That doesn't mean I want FB to end quickly. I hope that there will still be at least episode 4+, but at the same time, I would really like this game to conquer the players exactly with its story. What will be remembered is not the number of sex scenes Monica has with bums in the Slums or VIP Escort clients, but how interesting and compelling the story told by the author of the game was.

Don't think there's a roadmap anymore, it's mainly a really good sex VN. The way the plot and dialogue is written one would expect some main story, but it's all gone into sideshows now, which I don't mind, it's just that the sideshows loosely linger to the main story while not having much of their own stories and are just there for expanding scenes. It creates alot of "WTF this got to do with anything..?" moments.

Where do you want the story to move? Please, don't tell me about the freaking farm. It is getting old and probably will never happen. No one is going to add the farm in one way or the other and risk being banned on Patreon. Outside Patreon? Maybe, but I don't see any movements in this direction from Decent Monkey. He is comfortable on Patreon.

Where is Dick the lawyer, completely forgetten. He is fighting the most powerful men of the country for Monica but is not even bothered to know where Monica is and to meet her in person for more than a year. The revenge quest has not been updated in a while, so is the case with Marcus and the case with Philip who is not getting an event for over a year. With Marcus it doesn't even have to be farm, there are tons of things you can do with marcus that will be far more extreme and will not have to involve the farm. People aren't even getting the office photoshoots anymore, numerous choices that were previously shown as "in future updates" have literally been forgotten for more than a year.

Instead what we get is Steve's secretaries and his problems which does not even involve Monica. Melanie has become like a second protagonist and consistently keeps getting events, Claire also seems to be having events of her own. Previously it was Betty. Betty cheating literally has no effect in the story. It was not even used when she was asked to leave the house. Monica is aware of Betty cheating but she says nothing about it. So all those scenes of Betty with neighbour, Steve, Bardie's teacher, fish seller, Fred, all of that amounts to nothing.
Melanie has become so subservient to Victoria that she just accepts whatever Victoria says and it's getting extremely stupid. It would have been better if she too tried to scheme her way out. Julia events are plain annoying as all that happens in these scenes is Julia gets horny, brings up a stupid reason why she thinks Monica doesn't love her, creates a fuss and then Monica agrees to pleasure her. Event ends, Julia believes Monica loves her, until the next time Julia wants to something along the same lines.

The whole storyline with Misty is an extreme drag. Every event something new happens and the story gets prolonged as to how Monica will get the room.
Let alone the fact that narratively it makes no sense whatsoever as to why Monica needs a room at 10$ when she can live at Julia's or at her own mansion for free. She keeps talking about how even 5$ is very important to her to survive whereas currently she easily owns around $15000 in my playthrough.

And this is still touching the surface of how this game feels like it is going in circles. DM might be working hard and is still the most productive dev and needs to appreciated for that but story is just being dragged with no aim whatsoever.

If i remember right this game was inspired by Lida's Adventures. Whether that is true or not both these games focus on the same themes. And undoubtedly Lida's Adventures has put its main character in a more variety of different humiliating situations that Fashion Business has. That game will never match this is in quality but idea wise that game is doing a better job at the Humiliation fetish.

To conclude i would say i respect the fact the DM delivers such high output but he needs to move his story with an aim or direction, currently there seems to no plan. And if there is then it is intentionally being prolonged with lots of filler to make the game last for many many years.

It's not my personal opinion, not at all. It's a fact. Do photoshoots get lewder? Sure they do, it's undeniable. Does Monica falls deeper on so-called "Falling path". She does - she is already working as a hooker on the street corner. Does the Shiny Hole story progresses? Yes, it does - in this update or the next Monica is going to work at a glory hole. There are a few branches that hasn't been updated for quite a while, that's true, such Markus' or Philip's paths. But to each its own time, I guess.

It seems to me that almost no one cares about the revenge crap. It is almost never being mentioned here. Almost no one is asking when that branch is going to be updated and so on. On the other hand, almost constantly people are talking about the farm, the photoshoots, Victoria and so on. I personally couldn't care less about the revenge quest. It's the only one I have never played and am not going to.

With regard to some events not making sense, such all that room stuff, my guess is that when the game is finished or this episode is concluded, Decent Monkey is planning to isolate different storylines. I mean it will be imposible to be at the same time on the Falling path branch and the escort one, or Julia's. Then all those mismatches will be dealt. But for now it doesn't make sense to implement such limitations - it will only force people to have numerous saves which is a drag. There are a few games where developers do just that (isolate branches) and people constantly complain that nothing seems to be updated for their saves, for example, The Point of No Return.

More than that, the Lida's game is completely unrealistic, I mean even for a porno game. Fashion Business is supposed to be a much more slow-burn game, where corruption is much slower and because of that is much more believable.

I think the main storyline is the fall of Monica. A rich bitch who doesn't like sex becomes a sexually addicted nymphomaniac, she goes through humiliating sexual trials.

He is moving the routes, it's not that i am not acknowledging it but the movement is at snail's pace. Only now has Monica gotten to be a manger at shiny hole. After almost half of Episode 2 and Almost entirety of Episode 3. In the VIP escort she has become a manager but has anything changed in terms of the kind of scenes we get. She is still the toy that anyone can use in any manner in the escort client or otherwise. Last Steve scene is good but other than the escort route has lost it's charm, especially with Monica's outfit at the escort. It is literally ridiculous how she does her hair and the glasses look.

When looked at from an overall perspective Monica has been gangbanged in the falling path and what do we get with Shiny hole route, sex with a random character in the privates. At this point Monica has had over 50 sex scenes. It is not degrading anymore. Sex scenes with Fred provide something new as Monica is enjoying them even if she doesn't admit. On the slums path she is working as a street whore, the Degradation happened a few updates ago itself when she had to do it for the first time. Now all she is doing currently is having plain blowjob or sex scenes in a car which at this point mean nothing to Monica. If glory hole will be added in the upcoming updates it will be a progression but until that has happened i won't take into consideration.

It is visible through the dialogues that she doesn't think much about having sex with anybody as long as it is beneficial for her. The humiliation is gone. The dialogues never really try properly to emphasize the humiliating position Monica is putting herself into. Almost all of Monica's thoughts are her cursing the person she is having sex with and saying she will make them pay. There is never the emotional quotient where Monica is actually devasted that she is doing something so disgusting. Only a lip service is done to this aspect.

The only time you could even somewhat feel Monica's devastation and a realistic emotion from her was during the revenge quest when she point's the gun on herself and cries how she can't deal with this Humiliation anymore.

There is no stats that tell us of the revenge quest's popularity but it will definitely add a new perspective to the scenes. The scene can have the same vibe as the scene where she makes Linda and Miranda serve her because they think she has connections with the real Monica. Or a dynamic similiar to how Victoria torments others, playing a more dominatrix kind of role.

About Lida i did try to make clear that the acts themselves are much more degrading in Lida's Adventures. I never said that is a better game. It has too many problems and poorly written MC is among the first.

Regarding multiple saves and complaints taht their path is not getting updated. They are two different things. A person who plays all routes will get content every update and Suppose a person only plays Philips route, he will not get content in the next update even now, Or a person playing Julia's route is not getting any content next update either even when the routes have not been isolated.

DM will continue to make 4-5 events each update. Whether there are multiple saves or not doesn't matter, the routes DM will update and the content available will be the same. Also now that we can name each save properly there is no real hassle.
