100%I never understood why there always have to be two (or more) totally different games in one. Most of them get abandoned at some point because the dev is overstrained with all these branches. And players have to wait longer for updates they like. Worst example: 'A Wife's Phone'. Started great and went terribly south.
In software development branches are a very bad choice to take unless you have a team topology that can support it.
Those immature dev, listen all the whiny snowflakes that want choices ignoring that implementing choices will heavily impact time to market and delivery quality.
