Yes, rushed is exactly the point. It feels like a fast forward to a point where the "real" story should start, but I fear the pacing is just off.

Accepting a blowjob from a vampire always seems like the kind of thing that should involve a failed WIS save and a new character sheet.

This one is kind of weird. The vampire girl seems to be a little too willy-nilly with the mayhem for them to have lived their for so long. Secrecy would probably be something they would have had to learn in nearly a century. That also is why them hiring a "janitor"(really?) is very weird. Doesn't exactly make sense for the backstory so far.
