I mean his way of putting it aside
I do enjoy the game...but I find it somewhat irritating that it updates so slowly it makes The Red Dwarf seem fast and that junker was slower than the speed of Darkness.

Yeah, the updates are ridiculously slow, and Crush has never found a way to speed up his writing despite trying quite a few things. It's the standard perfectionist case where the last 20% takes 80% of the time, but it is what it is. The only surprise left is that, after five years of repetitive complaining and whining to no effect, some people still think that, if they just complain some more, they will force Crush to change.

I first played this when it still had that lovely white UI. What happened to the extensive customisation? Waited 6 years to play something worthwhile and at this rate, I'll be filing for a pension before the game is finished. It's good so far but it massively needs to speed up on updates.

Honestly, the sentence before 1.61 was much more interesting. Now I'm so bored that I wonder if it's the same person's writing, and the length of the writing per page is short, so I have to click more many times.
I like the concept of the game, however...

I don't think that's the intention though. I see it more as venting frustration. The ones who truly don't care simply won't even participate.

Because for a choice-based game that spent 5 years focusing on character customization, the story is extremely linear. The only choices you make were "A: show a lewd scene; B: skip the lewd scene". There are no branches in story at all.
At this point game should be renamed into "CAN YOU FIND THAT HYPERLINK"? seriously why the hell it is appears always randomly on the page.
It's probably a design choice to discourage people from skipping text. Crush wants you to read the text in the text based game...
Would I do that if I was cloning the game? No, but lets be real it's not THAT hard to play "FIND THAT HYPERLINK" as you describe it.
I have to say that I liked the recent update. Yes, at some point it would be nice to have the MC do someone else than Connor, but overall I liked it. And you can't really complain about the speed this time. This was the fastest we have ever gotten an update, was it not?
I also believe that Crush might have found a clever way to reintroduce the life path. The little conversation that you had with Ian gave you some of the background options that you had back in the before time. However that relates to skills and traits is a different story, but if he keeps adding the life path via these small conversations or flash backs, I am actually impressed. That does work.
Then again, there is still the elephant in the room. Skills, traits, kinks, a like/dislike system as well as a suspicion mechanic. That is a lot of mechanics that still don't do anything other than give you some random feedback. Oh, I forgot the dice rolling. Still, none of it matters.
On a side note: I really like lovely Victorias art. I rather enjoy consistent drawings of characters. It is much better than having random gifs or images of porn stars.

Yes. The game is still stuck in development hell. Every single update brings minimal changes.
But if you didnt play this game for few years, then I guess there is enough new stuff to varant one new playthrough. Why? There was a restart of the game. As usual developer removed old content and started from a scratch. Like you have said: dude still redoing everything unnecessarily.

you people are new to reallife or criminally naïve. this phenomena called "milking" or "scam" it exist not to be finished but to just be for milking,it sells nothing but promises of a snake oil. this game will never be finished.period. the only ending for it is to be abandoned or shipped with label "done" as is when the drawbacks of this scam will outweigh the benefits . after 5 years of same shit there are people who white knighting it or still delusional,guess everyone have their fetishes. im here to have my kek when the "update" of single typo hit for a version change.dude still redoing everything unnecessarily.

I've got no problem with people venting frustration and saying things like "it sucks that this game is so slow to develop." My problem is with people who insist that, fir instance, "its just too slow and whatever is causing that needs to be fixed" or accusing Crush of deliberately going slow to milk the patrons. Worse yet are the one-or-two-star reviews that "punish" Crush by stating that the game would be a four or a five star game but the reviewer is giving it one or two stars because its development pace is so slow. The glacial pace of development isn't going to change, as the past five years have shown. It is now pretty clearly a feature, not a bug.

It's sad that the best thing to come from this game was the "parody" game it spawned that blows this one out of the water.
