Crush is cooking. In the kitchen making something amazing. Should have come out with a tasting menu months ago. But that's what is on offer at this restaurant. Could you do better? Fuck, no. Don't like it? Leave your self-imposed cage. Play any of the many games for free here. Come back, if you wanna.

If you paid and were unaware of the history of development then you have right to mald.

If you didn't pay then you are the bum outside the restaurant ranting about your free meal.
Really? Another brain dead take... My point is that Crush is not "cooking." Prove to me otherwise then maybe I'd concede my point. Good luck with that.

Scammers are good at milking money from the soft brained, keep giving away your money to him if you want.

The funniest thing is that he isn't paying his patreon xd He is a "freeloader" like all who's complaining.

Said by himself he will gladly pay him when the update comes.

So kinda.... never.

Hey guys! xg told me (forcefully ) in a call that I have to put out a dev report every week, even if I feel like waiting another day or two would make the report better.

He is, of course, absolutely right, so here goes:

I created a new design based on that feedback, which was better received. I'm grateful for the feedback which I think will make the new lifepath a little bit chunkier than I was intending at the time of my last report.

Testing & feedback
This week I pushed out my new Lifepath build to the testers. The feedback I got was that I'd cut too much, and some things I wanted to cut needed to be reinserted.

New NPCs
The improved story planning requires more bargirls for club and hangout scenes. XG and I worked on two new farang bargirl NPCs this week, who are both great additions to the wolfpack.

Artwork planning
I did some artwork planning with our illustrator lovely Queen Victoria .

Scene edit
Part of my new Lifepath build included a new story scene (based on a placeholder scene from 1.6). This got good feedback from testers, who said it was fine; honestly, it's up to my usual standard.

But I am fucking sick of my usual standard, so since Thursday I've been going through it with an editing pass, adding extra dialogue choices, skill checks and decision branches.

I feel like I've made it much better. It feels less like a slideshow, more like a game, with more opportunities to characterise the heroine and improved responsiveness and replayability. This draft scene is more like what I want Female Agent to be.

It's 90% done and will be finished tomorrow, when I'll push it out for testing and feedback.

This is the kind of information I'd normally think was worth delaying the report to get, but I was serious about trying to communicate better. I'll let you know if it's the big improvement I hope it is in the next report.

This is SO much better. It's not just that he appears to actually be making progress, but that he's telling people about the process. It's showing that he's actually working, not just blowing himself the whole time. It's not as good as a real game update, but I daresay that if he had been communicating like this the whole time there would have been much less unrest and derision.

Wow! Two whole patreon posts in 8 days! I'm legit worried that if Crush tries to stick to this pace he might get burned out or frazzled. There are only so many hours in a day after all.

Great to know that he is now adding material back to the lifepath that was previously cut 2 or 3 times. As long as he keeps finetuning his lifepath copypasta skills I'm sure he'll eventually find the right mix that gets our heroine just that much closer to dismantling international terrorist networks in the Bangkok sex underground. And all this made possible by Crush's truly impressive organizational and planning skills...

PS: Approximately 15 months elapsed since the release of the last official FA update.

I think what happens with a lot of these games is that the creators have a premise and a general direction but no conclusion or idea of how to get there. They can produce content that fits the premise but doesn't move the plot and eventually stall out because the work was never really moving. So advice to any would be creators is you need to start by making an outline. State your premise, pick a couple of endstates at most, and write short 1-2 paragraph summaries of all the steps along the way. It also helps if your branches loop back toward the main plot so you can do variations on a scene rather than whole different scenes. Limit your customization options at the beginning because either you will create too much work for yourself or the choices will be meaningless.

People really forget quickly huh. Go back to the beginning of 2023. He used to post weekly updates, because, after the last (Second to last now I suppose) reboot, one of the "I'll do better" things he promised was weekly updates.

So now he's doing the same tactic again, he removes what he promised, and gives it back so you're thankful that you have this "new" thing.

I've forgotten nothing. I still wouldn't give this project a penny and I still believe that Crush is a scamming scammer who scams people. All I said was that frequent, open communication leads to less frustration than no communication. When he's not communicating, there is no reason to think he's doing anything, but if he says he's putting stuff out to testers -- who are also on the Discord channel and who do not contradict that -- then it does show he's at least doing something, even if it's ineffectual and often counterproductive. I've been saying all along that honest, open communication will decrease the anger that people feel -- and I stand by that -- but I still think the project is a giant hoax.

Some screenshots of the work in Twine, or whatever editor he uses, is really needed to restore trust at this point I think.

I think trust would require a a regular and ongoing schedule of quality releases that actually advance the plot instead of just dick around. And for the record, I do not believe that will ever happen. I think what will happen is that he'll put this "pending" update out sometime around the middle of summer and then the communication will become less and less frequent and eventually cease altogether for six months or more. The rage will build up again. The man simply can't deliver what he promises.
