Dude, you've got this all wrong. A story that kicks off rapidly into a snappy, action packed tale of undercover espionage mixed with sexy spice??? That's so passé, so yesterday.

No, no, no, you need to play an extended multi-hours long prologue to become fully versed in how your heroine lost her virginity, flirted with her college professors and partied during her year abroad in order to appreciate the monumental story to come. Only then will you be worthy of experiencing our dear Kate's transformation when she was sent to Bangkok and became a..... well nothing at present. Not a damn thing. But eventually, maybe, in the distant future, depending on the dev's level of frazzletude, something espionage related or bargirl type stuff might possibly happen (no promises of course)! In the meantime, enjoy the endless story introduction (once the testers get done writing it)!
You miss the real point: According to Crush, EVERYTHING so far has been prologue, even the stuff in Bangkok. The prologue won't be over until she becomes a bargirl. So now he's into his eighth year in this game and he's still writing the prologue -- and because he will never write her becoming a bargirl, the game will NEVER be out of the prologue.

Imagine the target showed up at the bar before Kate was a bargirl. Target caught, game over.

And that's the reason for all the wasted time with the stuff before life as an agent, just to lengthen the content :illuminati:.

Obviously Kate won't say, "OK, I'll bargirl -- oh wait, there's DEVILFISH, I'm out of here." The actual story could proceed in many different ways, but Crush won't start to tell the fucking story. We all know that the infinitely recursive loop of revisions and restarts will continue after the prologue ends, so moving things into the actual story wouldn't cut down on his development cycle one bit. Crush is just aware that he's incapable of making things interesting once Kate becomes a bargirl. Not that the last several updates have been interesting anyway.

It's a porn game just make Kate fuck her damn way up inside the bad people organization until she reaches the baddest guy of the bad guys and dunno make people choose; Katy likes this so she becomes the baddest guy of the baddest people girlfriend/whore or whatever or just make her complete mission and develop this idea a bit.

Not that hard.

This is not Memento or Inception. Just stick to the damn premise of the game.

Y'know, I wonder if this is part of the problem of the game having been in development for so long. Crush's tastes in sexual fantasy have probably changed/matured over the near decade of development. Perhaps prostitution/exploitative sex isn't as appealing to him as it was when he picked the premise, and he is now fruitlessly trying to adapt his existing game to his current tastes?

Over a month of "reports" later, so I asked ChatGPT to analyse Crush's patterns, here's what it said:

The game developer’s updates show some patterns that make it hard to know exactly what is happening with the game. Here are the main ways they might be avoiding clear answers:

  1. No Clear Deadlines: The developer doesn’t give exact dates or times for when things will be finished. They say things like “I’ll work on it tomorrow” instead of saying exactly when something will be done.
  2. Excuses: The developer often says they’re too tired or have been working too much. This makes it seem like the delays are because of their personal feelings, rather than the work not being done.
  3. Vague Feedback: The developer talks about what testers say but doesn't give specific details. For example, they mention that some testers liked something but don’t explain exactly what the testers liked or didn’t like.
  4. Not Taking Responsibility: The developer says they can’t please everyone and only wants to write the story they want, even if others want something different. This stops them from addressing what users want.
  5. Over-Apologizing: They say sorry for delays a lot, but they don’t explain what they will do differently or when things will get done.
How to Spot These:

  • Look for when they don’t give exact dates or details.
  • Notice if they keep blaming tiredness or working too much.
  • Watch for when they talk about feedback without giving clear examples.
  • See if they say they can’t make everyone happy without explaining how they’ll meet everyone’s needs.
How to Respond:

  • Ask for specific dates and clear answers.
  • Suggest finding a way to manage work better to avoid constant delays.
  • Ask for detailed feedback from testers to know what’s really working and what’s not.
  • Encourage them to produce a clear plan which incorporates both their own ideas and what users want.
Let's see if Patreons wise up? If not, I fear AI will evolve a replacement for HTML before the next update drops.

Week 6:

Hey guys! Another week, another non-stop grind. This time, I was focused on reworking a big chunk of the Elite social class content. The pacing felt off, so I decided to rewrite parts of it to make the decisions flow better and add more emotional weight. Tester feedback has been mixed again, but I’m feeling optimistic about the direction it’s going.

I also spent some time cleaning up bugs that have been lingering for too long. It’s those little things that really start to pile up and slow progress. Honestly, I’m ready to move past them, but as always, I want to make sure everything’s as polished as possible.

I’m pushing all this out to testers for feedback, but at this point, I’m really feeling the fatigue. It’s nearly midnight, so I’m going to get some rest and tackle the next task tomorrow with a fresh perspective. Thanks for being patient with me as I slowly but surely wrap this up! ❤‍

Week 7:

Hey everyone! Quick update from me today, as I’m completely wiped out. I spent the last several days revisiting the Africa scenes from the Lifepath. Honestly, it’s been a huge slog trying to make them both engaging and manageable. There were a few tricky narrative choices, and it wasn’t clicking, so I made some major cuts and rewrote sections to smooth things out.

The feedback from testers was positive, though, so at least there’s light at the end of the tunnel. I’m hoping to push out a polished version for the weekend, but I can’t deny that I’m running on fumes.

On top of that, I made some minor tweaks to the NPC interactions in the new club areas, trying to make those more dynamic. It’s been tough to balance pacing and depth, but I think I’m getting there. I’ll get back to it all tomorrow after some much-needed rest. ❤‍

Week 8:

Hey guys, it’s been one of those weeks where things just keep slipping through the cracks. I was hoping to finish up the Africa section and get that into testers’ hands by now, but it’s taking longer than expected. I’ve had to rework parts of the story to keep things fresh and interesting, and I’m not quite happy with how some parts are turning out, so I’ll be revising again tomorrow.

I also got some feedback from the testers about the pacing – they say it’s still too slow in certain areas, so I’ve been adjusting the flow to speed things up without sacrificing detail. Honestly, it’s tough because there’s so much content to juggle.

Anyway, I’m pushing through it, but it’s getting late, and I’ve been working straight for too many hours. Going to crash for the night and try again in the morning with a clearer head. Thanks for hanging in there! ❤‍

Week 9:

Hey guys, so this is a bit of a last-minute report because I’ve literally just hit a wall. I was planning to wrap up the Africa content this week, but I had a bit of a meltdown over the whole thing. Some of the rewrites just weren’t clicking, and I had to step back and think about how I want to approach it.

I think I’ve figured out the next steps, but I’m exhausted. Honestly, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t frustrated with how slowly things are moving. I’ve been working on this project non-stop for months, and while I can see the progress, it’s still a long way from being finished.

But hey, we’ll get there. I just need a good night’s sleep and a fresh perspective tomorrow. Also, I’m out of coffee, so that’s a huge issue right now. Sorry for the delay again! The dog ate my homework. ❤‍
