The problem is that fancy "generating-system" does not exist. After years of the development. Right now it is just a demo with about 10 full pages of text and an avatar of a girl that a child can draw (literally).
And the developers get 6000 dollars a month for that on patreon. They've been creating this game for at least 2 years. Conservatively counting, it is more than 70 000 dollars totally. And this is the money that could have been given to good, hard-working developers regularly providing high-quality content. A very sad story.
Graphtreon tells it's way less than 70k over two years. 50 at best. You may check the exact figures by yourself - unlike at least half of other devs, he doesn't hide his income.
The dev "team" is a relatively novel concept, as far as I'm aware. There's hardly anyone working on this game full-time except Crushstation himself, and probably the artist, and he
still has a job. Doesn't grant him any favours in the finance department, but he isn't coaxing anyone into paying, after all, which is the magic of Patreon.
v1.3.6 was mostly a one-man team effort, funded appropriately, developed for the first year. v1.4 and v1.5 were developed for the second year. Your mileage may vary about whether this is the amount of job which is expected to be done in such amount of time with resources at hand.
10 pages of text? Of A0 format - probably. Maybe double-sided. Maybe also of small font. If you have played through it twice and thought you've read everything through, you're wrong, so please revisit your Maths 101. Or try counting all the text in the game - the code is an .html file after all, this shouldn't be too hard for such an expert.
Speaking of art quality - please find such a child in order to support your claims, I'm sure he/she could be paid
waaaaay less than current artist since she's such a prodigy, not to mention he/she'll be employed by Crush immediately. Also go fuck yourself if you find such direct disrespect to someone's work appropriate, especially when comparing it to people tinkering with pirated DAZ 3D models without any semblance of artistic skills. Then again, their products get way less attention and support, so it's all fair.
In conclusion: people are voting with their dollars, and currently Crush and the aforementioned Eva Kiss (for example) have comparable amount of voters behind them, circa 2200 vs circa 2000 respectively, though GGGB probably generates more money due to different patreon tiers. Whether they're being cheated or getting a fair deal for their money is completely up to them. The only sad story here is your compilation of "arguments", which are full of shit of varying quality. Go find another thread if you wish to accuse someone of milking or complain about stupid people paying moneys for a pile of BS out of their own volition. I heard Slonique games a good start, though with enough effort everything goes.
Edit: curiosity got the best of me, so I actually counted the money. No data before January 2018, but given that January 2018 netted him $300, I can safely declare the money before it negligible. It's $60k plus something. So inbetween our estimates.
