Imagine anyone in literally any other profession saying they've made 115 Grand over the past 18 month while accomplishing absolutely nothing.
I can easily imagine it. Look at the prices for changing corporate logos, you will be surprised how much it cost and how many changes were made. Any person can cope with the task having not only Photoshop, but Paint. In fact, it is a problem that some programmers may do nothing, but since the management does not quite understand the specifics of the work, they will be sure that he works a lot.

I like this part of the new report:

Van Gogh was a prolific artist who churned out thousands of completed paintings. He may have been retroactively disappointed with many of them, but he still put them out there. I doubt he would be remembered with such reverence today if the only record of his art was years of diary entries about how he's really trying to get the stars perfect but they just don't seem realistic enough yet.
If you go back far enough into the patreon posts, I remember him also quoting Stephen King. You know, the Stephen King, the same one that writes one book every year.

He also loves to compare himself to Hemingway.

It's all really just a pretentious act designed to reinforce the idea among his supporters that he is some type of creative genius laboring away on his smut magnum opus who deserves unlimited, eternal patronage without being subject to such base concerns as time constraints, deadlines or production requirements.

  1. Submit a report:
    • Go to their Patreon page → “...” → Report this creator
    • Choose “Fraudulent or deceptive behavior”
    • Include a short summary:
“This creator posts weekly but never delivers content. Metrics are mentioned then dropped. Patrons are still being charged.”
Doesn't seem to work. All options just direct me to where I can lower pledge or unpledge. (No, I am not pledging to support him)

Or Tolstoy: the guy rewrote War and Peace at least seven times, long-hand, ink on paper.
(Yes, it would be a better novel with illustrations from the lovely Victoria...)

Fun fact: Since Crush has his Patreon earnings set to public, we can verifiably say that between November 2023 (The last actual update to the game) and now, Crush has made $98,422 pre-tax.

SubscribeStar is less public, but given an average amount of $2.27 per subscriber and a consistent 401 subscribers per month since then, that would be a rough (and conservative) estimate of an extra $16,385.

Imagine anyone in literally any other profession saying they've made 115 Grand over the past 18 month while accomplishing absolutely nothing. It's blatantly predatory at this point. I guarantee the vast majority of people subscribed to him actually work their butts off for their money and still make less than him. And yet when I politely suggested to him on Discord that he pause billing until he actually releases something, he hit me with the "But then I would have to get a real job and the updates would be even slower "
I give him credit for keeping the earnings public. He could scam even harder by hiding them and pretending the slow delays are for lack of funding but will still "get it done."

I'm surprised anyone is still backing this project with money. The devs seem to be milking you. If they are even doing the things they post about in these "transparency" notices, they have gotten lost in the minutia.
Even the responses on the patreon seem to be turning against him now. I think he shot himself in the foot when he posted that "5 scenes left to edit before release" update a month ago. Now even the most gullible supporters have something direct to point to underneath these "we've been overhauling systems nobody cares about" updates.

I just hope and pray that if the future ( i say future because the span time is from now to infinite time) it's dogshit (it will be) and dosn't advance history (it wont) those who kept supporting him start rioting and withdrawing funds.

Even then some of them are so naive that they want to expect the best completely ignoring the fact that the more this goes the longer the more profitable it becomes for Crush. They said right, foolishness is far dangerous than evil.
