Please do release it! I know I'm not the only one who loves the concept of the game, and would love to see something that's both a new take on it (with the set-in-stone "reluctant" path) as well as polishing up some of the rougher spots that Crush never shined up.
I'd be happy to be a tester, though I might take a few days to be able to get to it.

We're doing our best. It's hard though since we are into our 3rd year without a serious update of this game. Plus none of us want to put any additional pressure on Crush who is working night and day, 8 days a week, on something vital (lifepath?, Malaysia scene?, new ragdoll hairstyles?). When the crab is cooking like this it's best to stay out of his way.

Yeah, you raise a good point. It's impossible for me to raise any passion anymore on either side of this debate. It's like getting pissed about Half-Life 3 hasn't been released yet -- yeah it sucks, but at some point you gotta move the heck on.
Man, that is sad, particularly since you've been one of Crush's most ardent supporters on here, forcibly arguing that Crush is not a scammer, but is instead just mostly incompetent and suffering from acute performance anxiety. And whether performance anxiety or erectile dysfunction, it's a terrible affliction to have as a celebrated professional writer of quality adult material. I mean Crush's total inability to seal the deal has become legendary at this point, and we, as his biggest fans on F95, need to find a constructive way to help him overcome this hurdle and reach the Bangkok promised land (again).
I'm of course open to ideas. But right now I think those weekly pictures he posts of really hot girls are doing him no favours. Practicing some form of denial might instead be a motivator for Crush that would inspire him to complete the initial stage of part 1 of the Malaysia scene at the level of hotness to which we all know he is capable. That is why I suggest he stop posting hot girls on Patreon and instead start posting pictures of sad clowns or car crashes or something.
He should also approach the minutes or even hours he devotes to writing every month with the same intensity as a boxer, meaning preserving all his creative juices for the fight with Kuala Lumpur, Kate's high school year abroad or all the other bits so essential to advancing this compelling Bangkok seedy underworld spy story. If he lacks the personal discipline and focus to take this approach, well they make cages for that and he should have no problem finding a good fit...
Since we all have the same goal here, your feedback and comments would be most welcome and I daresay, highly beneficial for Crush, in getting this project back on track and partying again like it's 2016.

No, the idea here is when Crush releases content he can go back to posing the hotties on Patreon, but after a certain amount of time without a release he would deny himself that pleasure. What could be more motivating than that? If it worked for Hemingway and Fitzgerald it can certainly work for the Crab.

I really, really want him to finish the game. I really, really want him to finish the lifepath. I just think he'll never do either one -- not because of malice, but simply because he's a perfectionist who wants to control every aspect of a project that's too big for him and he's burned out all the way down to the ground. I don't have any ideas that he'd take -- I've offered advice and he even said some of it was good advice, but he never implemented any of it. Others have done the same. He's got to do things his way, and his way is very bad for his health. I don't know what to yell you.
I do find it kind of interesting that he'd drop by and reply to some comments while all the comments on his patreon are still unanswered. I guess we're lucky and apppreciated!

Crush was never fast, but his fans accepted the 6-12 month update cycle as long as the story progressed. But this 2 year hiatus is increasingly unacceptable to even his more hardcore.
From a finance viewpoint, it would be the smart play. Minimum effort, maximum reward. This is something only Crush in his mind can answer, because saying he wants to make a game everyone likes to play would mean actually having something to play.
Genuine questions - any Twine limitations to adding branches to a story later? And is it standard practice to move version number forward, but taking content backward?
