GPT4 was such a big improvement, that for the first time I can really see AI taking over many if not all important aspects of our modern world, although what we currently see isn't probably a real AI yet. Still if it keeps progressing like that, I can't see many, if any, human intellects compete with it in a couple of years. Maybe enough important people will panic then, to pull the plug on it? I guess it would be already too late for though.
I nevertheless don't think AI would really take over the world on it's own. Hard to see it becoming that powerful on its own but I think we will simply give most control to AI, since it will be simply so much smarter and better at handling things than any human can do in a not so distant future. If this will be better or worse for humanity is hard to judge at the moment...
My guess though is that dictatorial countries like Russia or China will become even better at controlling their people with smart, advanced AI's, so they will become even worse places. In western countries their effect could hopefully be more positive overall, since it could really enhance the productivity of so many people. But yeah in the western world there will also be people in politics and the super rich of course, who will try to use advanced AI's to establish a similar level of control over the population, as the dictatorial countries. Hopefully these people won't be charismatic enough to fool people into voting for them.
By the way personally I used ChatGPT to write interactive femdom stories at first. Had some good prompts who practically removed all censorship and it was way better at creating coherent stories than any other AI I tried. A fun one was also letting it role play as a female sexologist (thanks to "Nothing Is Forever" for teaching me that this exist

). I imagine talking to a real sexologist wouldn't be that much different. Of course I added some "flaws" to it's character though, that given certain triggers she would forget about behaving professional...
Anyway... generally it is becoming really an all around tool though. My wife is using it for an IT project and what she thought would take months is a work for just 2 weeks now. So it is clearly more than an interesting toy already.
