A shame spanking games have really not caught on more... I know we get it as a side fetish in Fem-U-Zero, and there was Spanquest and a couple others a billion years ago, but most femdom games I'm aware of don't have much (if any) of it. Tbf I'm very much not into mommydom/diapers/infantilization, which I know spanking gets paired with sometimes, so maybe I missed some games due to other kinks I avoid, but still, it's a shame this kink is not explored more!

There have been loads of games that came out since that list was updated, and many of the games that are currently on the list has been updated several times. So an update would absolutely be a good thing. Also, saying that something is quickly abandoned doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Most of the time it is impossible to say if something is truly abandoned or not. Sometimes an update takes a year, and that can even be a good thing.

If something hasn't been updated for a year, and there're no news of development from the team, we can safely call it 'abandoned'. In theory, even an official announcement doesn't guarantee there won't be updates at some point in the future - they might change their mind or someone joins the dev team to help with an old project or for whatever other reason. But we're not here to guess & analyze - it's just for our convenience we have to distinguish between slow development and (likely) no development at all.
