However you want to look at it, the women and girls clearly had no say in their fate. Nor did reason.Already some interesting bits:You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
Add to the list foot binding, which was yet another patriarchal practice in China, making women less mobile and more satisfying to some fucked up aesthetic fancy of males.A little bit more (I've just finished the 1st chapter):You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Sure, by giving these quotes I'm not trying to say that China was the worst or the only one in this regard, that's why I've started with quotes about Europe so as to show that this shameful tradition (mostly caused by poverty) is part of our history as well. And not only history.But today, given access to knowledge and all the ethical arguments in favor of universal human rights, I can not give regions of the world a pass based on cultural relativism when they engage in female genital mutilation, child brides, caste systems, second class status, and all sorts of other nasty and unjust things befalling women even in the west.
Oh man, that custom of making feet lotus-shaped is so fucked up. I guess even more so for me since I have a foot fetish. I remember watching a 1974 fengyue movie by Han-Hsiang Li The Golden Lotus (based on the famous novel of the same title written by an unknown author in late 17th century) and there's a main character there (fengyue means there's a hefty dose softcore erotica) with a foot fetish. I completely forgot about that barbaric custom, and of course it turned out that the women had to have this "lotus" feet to be considered attractiveAdd to the list foot binding, which was yet another patriarchal practice in China, making women less mobile and more satisfying to some fucked up aesthetic fancy of males.

Ok, I feel this delved into a lot of sad stories about ancient Chinese patriarchal customs, (which were, like all patriarchal customs, quite awful) so, to bring it back a bit to the point Aseratrix made earlier about steppe nomads being far better on women's rights and cheer the thread up a bit, the Manchu Qing dynasty, who were originally steppe nomads, outlawed foot binding in China and during some of their emperors severely punished all men that had their daughters deform their feet like that. Then it unfortunately resurged as a practice again in the post 1911 republican era, before it was finally outlawed for good by the Communist party after the 1949 revolution.I completely forgot about that barbaric custom, and of course it turned out that the women had to have this "lotus" feet to be considered attractive.

Yeah, sorry for that. It was me who hit on that sad note. I owe this comment of yours a like, but I have reached my quota for now.Ok, I feel this delved into a lot of sad stories about ancient Chinese patriarchal customs, (which were, like all patriarchal customs, quite awful) so, to bring it back a bit to the point Aseratrix made earlier about steppe nomads being far better on women's rights and cheer the thread up a bit, the Manchu Qing dynasty, who were originally steppe nomads, outlawed foot binding in China and during some of their emperors severely punished all men that had their daughters deform their feet like that. #Based steppe nomads and CPC(is a weird sentence probably nobody ever said before...
)
I have a big question regarding it. How do I beat Enigma? It seems impossible. She keeps locking me in grapple after graple and getting out of grapple by struggling seems to be random.Hey I just updated my game amoral Quest

First of all, I didn't initiate the issue.Came for femdom game recommendations, got unsourced TERF conspiracies instead.
Relax man, I actually agree with you on the trans issue. What I disagree with is more the "radical feminist" part. Perhaps I should have used a different term? Anyway...
Would really appreciate that myself.You guys can drop the politics anytime. Just saying.
Yeah, to some degree there may be some predispositions which stem from biology, we just don't know yet to what extent. I favor the radfem perspective. The existence of dominant females demonstrates that some of them are not sexually determined to be passive and submissive. I would argue, that culture and socialization can activate or deactivate certain predispositions. If you have a greedy society, it favors psychopathic traits, if you have a more equal society it favors cooperative impulses, and if you have a society which objectifies and oppresses women, then it can activate tendencies which cater to that, so a society which is as neutral about what one should do or not do based on what sex you have, may nurture females who are not as dissuaded from choosing interests at odds with what they traditionally were supposed to be interested in. This particular issue is up for debate, but so far I am more convinced with the idea that there is no, or only potential "human natures".Relax man, I actually agree with you on the trans issue. What I disagree with is more the "radical feminist" part. Perhaps I should have used a different term? Anyway...
I'm just not sure how you can acknowledge the existence of sexual dimorphism and then immediately turn around and label masculinity and femininity as entirely "patriarchal social constructs", as if there are zero cognitive or behavioral biological differences between men and women. Do you not think it would be profoundly strange if the sex that rears children did not have a behavioral disposition towards caretaking, and a generally less aggressive temperament than men? Do you really think it's "patriarchy" that causes women to choose people-oriented and caretaking jobs such as, say, teaching or nursing over STEM? Maybe I'm just misunderstanding, but I feel as though people are too quick to dismiss the personal choices men and women make as something sinister rather than free will.
Feminists also tend to have these diametrically opposing views where a patriarchal conspiracy to oppress women still exists (again, with no supporting empirical data), that women are all helpless victims that need a crutch to survive in the "man's world"- yet simultaneously, women are strong, independent, and equal to men- and like Susan B. Anthony, perfectly capable of accepting equal responsibility for everything. I'm not convinced that a patriarchal country that views women as disposable would make most of their scholarships exclusively female-only, or give female business owners money for just being women, or lower STEM and military standards for women, or take a woman's word as gospel in a court of law, or make acts of violence against woman a much greater crime than the equivalent against men, or have laws that force everyone from small business owners to the highest branches of government to hire unqualified women over their more qualified peers and etc etc, you get the point. You won't see middle eastern countries doing this anytime soon. Hell, today we demand that people "respect women", but tell men respect is earned, not given.
You're never going to eradicate every sexist or racist or whatever from the world, but it's foolish to deny that women in the west receive preferential treatment in a great many scenarios. And that part doesn't even bother me. It's exactly because I admire independent women that I loathe feminism for teaching women that they are still helpless victims under the thumb of a faceless mob of men that hates them for having vaginas. Just my two cents.
Ultimately none of this matters when we're looking for porn. I like femdom and strong, assertive women as much as you do, and I can see you made a lot of effort in creating the list, so even if we disagree I have to respect that much.

I agree. But when I am addressed, I feel an obligation to respond. If you look at the thread you'll see, that I tried/try to move on, but these things tend to stick, when someone new comes around and finds it objectionable, and then its dragged up again. Sure, I could have been wiser, and just shut up, and that's what most wise people would have done, but I am not that wise, sadly.Would really appreciate that myself.
