I think they quoted the dev statement from the original post, wanting to stress "scat" - either because they don't like it or because they are missing that content, not clear to me.

But what you don't know yet is that we want to bring the Patreon version of the game a couple of days before that to you!! I don't have an exact date for that, but you can get the full game before Steam!

That's also week 3, but the "basic" version. It is a bit more advanced in terms of progress but has fewer scenes and characters.

If you haven't played so far, I would suggest just downloading week 1 for now to see whether you like the game at all. If you do, download and play week 2 as well. Odds are - depending on your speed - that week 3 may be completed by the time you finish week 2 and thus this distinction wouldn't matter anymore.
