As LightmanP said, if you use the "original story" patch, it will have better continuity. Also, if you download the first two weeks now, they will have similar VIP stuff. Reason being that Patreon doesn't want blackmail and sex combined, so the blackmail had to go - and quickly. Thus the rewrite of the unpatched version.
There already is. Compressed versions are not linked in the OP anymore, you will have to search for "compressed" in the search bar. Naming the current version may help.

I nearly did that mistake in the Tales for the Unending Void. Have been much more careful which path I tread since then.
There is a plug (placeholder) at the end of that route similar to the ones that were initially placed for the ending. So, theoretically the Dev could still continue with any of the endings even after they are all finished, but then some people here are going to shout again that the game is still not finished
