Honestly same I don't get all the VN that are around like they all just seem like the same kind of thing and not a really game might aswell just be a movie to watch instead of clicking through
I dont think i have seen a single decent management porn game. Any attempts at adding complex game mechanics are bound to fail for few reasons.
1. These games are usually made by amateurs(often just 1 guy) and as such its almost impossible to have good gameplay, good story, good CGs, erotic writing and fetishes i like all in one package.
2. If the game has somewhat deep mechanics it takes me out of mood for porn. If its simple its usually just grind-lust/gold/etc. by clicking 50 times the same buttons which again adds nothing as far as porn is concerned.
3. VNs on average have much better writing than sandbox games and at least attempt some kind of coherent story, building up characters, some conflict etc. which increase the enjoyment of actual h-events.

RPG where the battle system isn't reduced to "Use strongest attack. Repeat. Heal. Heal some more."
Monster Girl Quest did a clever system, where you need to react to what your specific opponent is doing at any point in time, and it never gets dull cause each and every opponent is usually different in a few ways, and the techniques you unlock over time add more depth in a way that isn't overwhelming. Its slow and steady, giving you time to choose your preferred plan of attack.
Also, if your game needs grinding: well, IMO, grinding isn't fun. Never has been. Its like chewing cardboard for 15 minuets between each bite of chocolate.
