I'm not gonna argue their ability to USE a sword, but like the dumbass radio personality criticizing the women in Witcher, your claim is ludicrous. Most normal swords weigh on average about 2.5 to 3.5 lbs with larger "war swords" from the medieval era weighing only about 4.5 lbs. Katanas are even lighter.

So, unless you're saying a woman can lift a baby that weighs 9 lbs, but not a sword that weighs 1/3 that

They were designed so that a small man could kill a much larger, physically more powerful larger man. During the medieval period, it equalized the playing field. Even young boys trained using them:
I agree with everything you say and my claim is not ludicrous.

Lifting and carying a sword in a worthwhile combat-way is not like carrying a baby or football. What you need to compare a 3.5 lb. sword to is:
a) lifting a couple quarts of milk or water in one hand
b) and the holding that hand and elbow away from your body (so you don't hit yourself with the weapon)
c) with the thumb of that hand pointing upright or away from your body (so you do not dull or chip the blade on the ground, furniture, or allies)
d) while walking aroung your home for 10 minutes (a respectable fight time between 2 trained, experienced opponents who need to kill or seriously maim each other).

I very much doubt most people in North America could complete that in the first few tries. (Remember also that we haven't included the necessity for heavy clothing or armour during this exercise ... just everyday clothes!)

And yes, I've seen grandparents carry much heavier grandchildren for far longer ... but not with that single arm extended.

The average height / weight of a Mongolian woman is under 5 foot and under 90 pounds... Yet they made up approximately 40% of the Mongol armies. They defeated great armies of big, strapping Christian Knights, trained from birth... Khutulun, the Great Grand Daughter of Genghis Khan, was the greatest undefeated wrestler of all time. insisting that any man who wished to marry her must wrestle her for the right, or surrender his steed in defeat, (the greatest price a Mongol Warrior could pay), she accumulated a herd of over 10,000 horses...

Yup! And I bet she could also hold her couple quarts of water or horse milk in one extended arm for a lot longer than 10 minutes. (y)

P.S.: How heavy were Mongol shortbows?

A lot lighter than their scimitars. For all the Mongol reliance on horse archers, they were also renowned swordsmen / women... The Muslim word for "Effort" comes from the Mongolian name of the bodyguards of Genghis... Jihadis from Jinghis.

I mean, you have a sack... I'm sure you are a better swordsman than a 9 year old girl, right?

(well i'll be damned! she didn't even cut off her own head!) And incidentally, that is a full length and regulation weight Katana, for an adult male, not a Wakizashi...

Wow. Just... wow. The OVERWHELMING majority of actual swordfights between trained soldiers ended within the first 30 seconds. Real swordfights aren't long dragged-out affairs like the movies like to show them. They are fast and very decisive, and end quickly. 10 minutes.... hehehe...

I didn't know I'd ask this question on this site ever, but here we are

Is there some fighting too or is it just porn?
It's fighting AND boobs. Double the fun.

I'm curious, can you lose to the princess? perhaps some femdom action is in store.
Yes you can loose, it just costs you a lttle bit of gold at the moment. I like the femdom idea, will probably do something like that.

Your claim is ludicrous. First, I've held actual swords and they're not impossible to lift or wield. And as Warsteel correctly pointed out most sword battles did not involve holding a sword in front of you for 10 minutes. No good swordsman holds his sword, single-arm extended for any great length of time . . . unless it's a punishment.

Second, I explicitly prefaced my response as not pertaining to their ability to USE a sword. You made the ludicrous claim that they may not even be able to lift them. Now your backtracking. And the 2.5 to 3.5 lbs is the AVERAGE weight of STANDARD swords. Historically, women have fought with all kinds of swords. Maybe you should do a little fact-checking of history before making humorous and insulting, yet ultimately ignorant claims.

Lastly, it's a porn game ffs.

This is a really interesting concept, and the first few hours were great. Is there any way I can offer the creator some advice?
