So Where is the game?
I swear it's coming, It really is! I know this long wait has been killer, it's been tough on me too, my current hope is that I will have a content drop ready before the end of the year assuming nothing goes wrong (for example I still need to update to Windows 11) that is my goal for the timeline. I am planning on taking some time off from my job to get it done.
Why has it taken so long?
Well it's a few things, firstly the game has ballooned in scope scenes got longer and rewritten. How I do animation had to be written as people where reporting stuttering in Fantasy quest, that took a while to solve, then I had to make all the animation into Webm files and I through trial and error trying to optimize them. Also animations are much bigger now longer and more frames means longer render times, no joke some animations take me literally days to render, and that for literally some thing that last like 2 seconds in game but this does mean they are higher quality...
Also, I've run in to various technical issues with the software and render settings causing slow downs and even complete re-renders of a lot of renders.
Beyond that a big limit has been my PC, I've had a render backlog for months now. As in I'm making more than my computer can render, which slows down how fast I can add content into the game
The worst part is I am only about half way finished what I originally wanted this update to be, which sucks! But that's not as terrible as it sounds as right now I am finishing the mid-point which has a sex scene that I think can be enough of an update on its own. But it means that I don't get to introduce the new character I wanted, she is in the back half of the story
What is being done?
In this time I haven't been Idle I have fully animated cum scenes which were a real pain to animate and I had to do it 4 times, one per position and one per gender of Sam.
I've been doing various rewrites to improve dialogue and bulk out scenes, I've added some technical stuff, improved fonts, added a cheat menu, added some new FX to the game, new logos, new menus, and probably more I am forgetting right now.
This is taking too long!
I know honestly I know I cannot tell you how bad it makes me feel, like legitimately I have knots of stomach most days and often wake up in the night becasue of this, it is very much weighing on me how much I am letting you guys down on this.
So I have made the choice to put the page into vacation mode to stop taking any more money, I really don't feel like its fair to you guys, so I'm turning it off. But despite the name of the mode I am not going on vacation I am still fully working on the game, it's just the only way to pause payments on the site, I would turn it off permanently but the SubscribeStar employees got mad at me before when I wasn't collecting money, so I doubt they would like me to turn it off forever either.
More bad news?
Also to focus on the game I think I will be cancelling my usually seasonal Halloween posts so that I can stay focused on the game instead, it sucks I really liked the Halloween posts, but It needs to be done.
Like I said, I am really sorry to disappoint so many of you guys, I am trying my hardest to make something good, I just don't seem to be able to work as fast as I want to be able to. Sorry.
