Hello! Thanks for your post.

Looking through your post history, it looks like this is your first post in this thread. You clearly are narrowly focused on the topic of game devs who are disappointing their fans.

I don't disagree with your "Mission," Harvey Dent. I may even agree with it. I think it's bullshit when people are being milked out of their money.

However, the problem you have is that this game is 100% free and while I do monetize the game on kind of a "tip jar" model, I do so on "if you like what I'm doing, throw me a few bucks a month." That currently amounts to about $350 a month.

I'm currently charging people $1-$3 a month. When I was late in December, I froze accepting payments for a while until my subscribers voted that I should resume them.

If you're the "hero we need," I think your attention should be directed towards other games and not this one.

I post walls of text all the time because I am thoughtful and I enjoy engaging with folks, further evidence that you're a "newb" to this thread and would fail a basic trivia check about the game. It's not surprising that you are not familiar with that style of developer engagement, because your entire Core Brand Proposition appears to be going around to F95 game threads looking for games that are late and taking a big diarrhea dump in the thread.

Listen, there's a game out there called Family Business II that is absolutely MILKING their followers and I can't stand it. If you could nuke them into outer space, that would be great.

This is my favorite game. I am here for Meredith but I do like the other characters. I am also so happy that you like to interact with your players.

The update is wrapping up and I consider it 99% complete. The past few days I have played the entire game a few times over, which takes a long time. Speedrun the game some time, unlocking every character and bonus activity and tell me how long it takes you. Every time I do a playtest, I find little bugs, many of which were in the previous version.

I just want to put the best version of the game out there that's possible and minimize the need for multiple hot fixes. I know the update is late. I'm sorry about that. It'll be ready very soon.

Just so you know JorogrArt, you are appreciated and I know how much of a struggle it is to create a game. Tried my hand in creating a Renpy game and gave up after a month, since I realized I didn't have the necessary patience or discipline. And Renpy is an easy engine to use, can't imagine how much harder it is to do so in Unity. Wishing you all the best!

yes and no as paying supporters can be an echo chamber. Especially when the devs start catering/caving to something beyond their intended scope with the vocal minority EX the futa and fur fetishists. Being a good vocal dev can also help bring in supporters and helps strengthen the bond with those external supporters who will come to the devs defense against misplaced and/or malicious attacks.

Isn't it kinda funny how all these devs always have "issues" making them unable to finish updates? I'm not saying it's bullshit in this case, but there so many of them... And I'm kinda reluctant to believe them since the dev of Summertime Saga and WVM.

Notes

• It's been a long and hard road, but v0.5 is finally getting to a stage where it's approaching the right level of stability for a release.
• I have a small list of bugs to fix. Generally things like typos, affordances like asking "Are you SURE you want to launch this scene?", ahem fixing "renegade" nipple colors for certain characters, etc.
• As always, ALL subscribers will get a crack at it 24-hours before everyone else.
• It could be released late today (1/25) but it could be tomorrow, honestly (1/26). It will NOT slip past that. The update will be released no later than Sunday night (Mountain Standard Time), guaranteed!
• There will always be bugs that slip through the cracks but I feel like of all the updates I've ever released, this one has had perhaps the most rigor applied to it in terms of squeezing out all the bugs.
• As a reminder, this update has 30-45 minutes of gameplay. It consists largely of Brooke and Jasmine quests and advancement. There is a quest to unlock impregnating Aunt Irene (if you're into that sort of thing). There is no significant Meredith content in this update (I know, it sucks!)
• Jasmine's quests/story were imagined in two parts. We get one Spank Bank scene with her and a cameo from Brooke upon repeat viewings. Whenever we get around to * Jasmine Part II, we'll fill in the quests to sneak into her house (we skip past that stuff currently) and then actually playing Family Business III Beta which leads to vaginal sex and completing her story.
• Brooke's quest (Sister Act) is much more reactionary and she comes to terms with MC's and Jasmine's budding relationship.
