Will this update be 0.6 or 0.7? I'm a bit confused, to be honest. I say this because it had already been said that those two updates would be from Meredith. What I don't know is if they would come out both or one by one.

I do hope that you never have to go that route. You would have to rework so much content and I feel it goes against the spirit of the game itself.

In the case of Meredith, there's a lot of personalized scenes that wouldn't make much sense in a Landlady context. What I will probably do is slowly migrate towards a game project that COULD have that switch flipped over several updates so that it wouldn't be so painful if I do need to break that glass in case of emergency.

You can follow the game called "timestamps" model. In that game, the patch is not just to replace Landlady/Mom, But also change the whole script towards raw incest talk like "Suck me Boobs like when you are a baby" or "go into where you come from".

Yeah i hate when games go the landlady route. Like most people in here have said i love the raw unfiltered mom/son incest talk. Thats what really makes it 10x better and i dont want to lose that here!

Unfortunately that's usually not up to the devs if they wanna actually be able to have their game funded
And most devs aren't rich enough or have the freetime to just not get support from players to develop a game fully raw without using Patreon/Subscribestar/Steam

Definitely think incest games should jsut have the incest talk, but make the relationship names be inputted by the player.

That way its only incest if the player makes it, but shouldn't trigger Patreon to my knowledge, since default would be Landlady. But of course also doesn't make sense when the name is Landlady, which is good cuz it means the game is designed for actual incest in mind and its not just an unofficial fan patch with no taboo talk.

There are games like zombie's retreat which let players edit the relationship between mc and the girls. Maybe you can add some similiar features into the game? If people find default landlady role doesn't make sense, I am pretty sure they know how to fix it.

But.. I think it's still gonna have problems for patreon I think. The best way is to follow timestamps Timestamps game model, which have two separate scripts for default mode in patreon and for incest "unofficial" patch.

Just please check it JorogrArt . It's also made in Unity Engine. But you have to release this patch with another fake profile. It won't be a problem for you in terms of paths or renders. Just you have to spend some more time in writing which should be okay for you to gain extra income from patreon. This way, you will keep both incest fans and patreon happy.

Having the game "funded" in 2025 is not a priority to me. I'm making this game because I enjoy making it and I publish it because others find value from it.

Having the game be funded would have been more of a priority in, say, 2018 when things were a lot more free on the internet. Years ago, I could commission VA sound effects & vocals quite easily with PayPal, but PayPal has cracked down on transactions of an NSFW nature. The last transaction I had with a VA I had to resort to Amazon gift cards and someone from Amazon immediately called me to ask me why I was buying them. It just seems like there is so much more scrutiny put upon how money moves around these days that it's not even worth the hassle. I have accepted the fact that I have to make do with the VA sounds I've already purchased.

I'm sympathetic to those who want to keep games like this out of the hands of minors. I can age gate my game and my Discord server, but ultimately my tools are limited.

Setting up a PG-13 Patreon page with pinups that functions as a rabbit hole that leads to a taboo 1nc3st game seems to be one of the worst decisions I could make.

I'm not saying that's what you're proposing, it just seems like the practical outcome that would come from that approach.

I think the start of Five of a Kind where you meet Meredith and Brooke as like an extended introduction scene is pitch perfect and I don't want to mess with it at all.

My simple thought is having a file (IE iamanadult.txt) located on the desktop or game dir that triggers a binary gate that if not found only allows the the player to walk around the house (and not go outside) as well as not have any of the characters or quest items spawn/ discoverable. May also not hard code dialogue references (use a look up table ) in case they are actually doing brute force searches of code. Which I dont think they doing. I think its all just simple keywords in the game listing, images, and user reports of violation.

Yeah, i have seen some games sacrificing their intended ways and removing incest from the game to make money instead of their passion. I can understand, they are doing games as a occupation. But, i'm sorry, i only like games when they are written with passion and their original intentions instead of taking steps just to letting it publish on platforms. This problem is nothing new. From many old years, even the book authors also faced this problem because of publishers. But, some authors never bend to them and released with small publishers or even their own but never let their passion stop to react it to the public.
