Oops. I dropped 0.6.0.3 a few days ago on Discord and SubscribeStar but not here. I had gotten accustomed to posters posting it for me.

Notes

• This update is to fix a security vulnerability found earlier this month in Unity 2023.2. Aside from that, it is identical to the 0.6.0.2 that was released yesterday.
• Unity has been urging all developers to rebuild their projects using the new version to patch a security vulnerability as soon as possible. I am of the belief that the nature of the vulnerability is extremely unlikely to cause problems for a game like this one, but better safe than sorry.

• Running the Strip Poker Minigame from the Spank Bank will allow you to cheat.
• Mc's Bedroom has been somewhat optimized to load faster on slower computers (There is more that could be done here).
• Meredith's state machine and next action variables in the diner are now reset when you rest, preventing the cook from getting into a weird state where he shows up and then retreats from the window in less than a second, making it difficult to overhear their conversation.
• Finishing Aunt Charlotte's story no longer gives you credit for Meredith's Bonus scene or suggests you've completed Meredith's content.
• The VHS tape icon for Meredith's Bonus scene is now only available if you've completed the Daddy Issues quest and you do not already have credit for her bonus scene.
• You no longer get the "You cheated at Strip Poker" Offense with Meredith if you did not use the Stack the Deck Ability to cheat.
• If you haven't unlocked the Cunnilingus scene in the Spank Bank and you have a save where you have credit for it, repeating the scene will now unlock it in the Spank Bank.
• The Dude's dialogue tree "Why is there a hole in the wall over here?" conversation option now returns to the dialogue tree.
• The L33TDIAL program shows the new area code (401) instead of the old (203) area code.
• The Contacts Page shows the proper area code for phone numbers (401) instead of the old (203) area code
• MC's ropes in the Cunnilingus scene no longer disappear when they hit a collision detection box.
• Widened the hitbox for overhearing the cook in the kitchen.
• Caydence no longer appears inside the arcade before you've actually met her.
• Jasmine's portrait in Brooke's room no longer enables the Ask About Games option when you Ask About Her after you've completed her first quest.
• Clicking the Talk To action on Brooke's shorts in her portrait no longer behaves as if you had clicked it on MC.
• Fixed several issues with the VHS Spank Bank unlock icon enabling and disabling with Meredith, Charlotte, and Brooke.
• Fixed several places where Meredith's sprite could be wearing all of her outfits at the same time, especially during the Winter event.
• Removed the condom as an option from Brooke's sprite in her bedroom.
• Calling Jorogr on the telephone now properly grants the "Greetings, Professor!" Achievement
• Resetting the Achievements in the Achievements Menu using the DEL key now refreshes the UI.
• Jazz Dad's Theory Emporium BBS now lists its location as being in Rhode Island (RI) instead of Connecticut (CT)
• Meredith's markers in the attic have been adjusted to line up with MC.
• Removed the We're Twins! Achievement. (You already get an Easter Egg for doing this)
• The Pixel Hunter Achievement text clarifies that it is only unlocked beating the very pixelated Strip Poker on MC's computer.

Thanks for the update!! To bad it was so short!... I feel you mate, divorced myself, selling home (not home really anymore as we are not a family anymore... tough)... I hope you can deliver some extras for Halloween or Christmas, if not, no biggie, it is what it is...

I started a new game, went straight to the Arcade and Scott wasn't there in the Morning (which he's not supposed to be). I rested once to Midday, but it was raining (he wouldn't be there when it's raining) and then rested one more time and he showed up in the Afternoon.

Someone else reported that Meredith got stuck lounging in the back yard all day (even though raining and to midnight) although I was not able to recreate that.

If you have a save game that demonstrates this problem, I'll be happy to look at it.

i went to Arcade in Morning rested there and he showed up at midday, the problem was i went there at morning; midday, afternoon evening and he wasnt there, you have to be at the arcade and rest there else yozu dont get Scott

Take a look at the startup screen for Family Business II on Jasmine's Computer, there is a phone number on there that should get you started.

Nothing is ever bug free, but it is a bugfix update

This is very true. The best you can hope for is what I call "acceptable stability." A few people have reported weirdness regarding finding certain characters, but I haven't been able to replicate these kinds of issues. Nevertheless my antennas are up on that front, but for the most part, this should be the version of the game people have to play with for the next few months while I work on 0.7.

I would love to continue playing this, but apparently the latest Unity no longer supports my old MacOS. The game immediately crashes upon launch.

An online version would be great but doubtful that will ever happen.

I've not heard anyone claim the diner patron conversations don't fire. The red rectangle for the top booth and red polygon for the near booth show the area MC must be standing in when Meredith arrives.

If you just want to continue the game from the most recent patch, start a New Game and select the "Start From Previous Update" option and it'll skip ahead to a new game with all of the 0.5 content finished.

Hmmm... I don't build the game using the "latest" Unity, but I use a 2023 version of Unity. The game plays fine on my Mac Mini, which is a 2020 M1 8GB running Sequoia 15.6.

If you get the message "Five of a Kind" Not Opened, "Apple could not verify..." message, open a Command Terminal, change directory to wherever you have the game extracted and run the following commands:

chmod +x "Five of a Kind v0.6.0.3/Five of a Kind.app/Contents/MacOS/Five of a Kind"
xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine "Five of a Kind v0.6.0.3/Five of a Kind.app"

If you Unzip the game using the Archive Utility that comes with MacOS, it will sometimes auto-quarantine the game since it doesn't know what it is (why would it?). You have to give the OS permission to run the game.

AI fails to generate constant frames, faces, body parts, etc.. will always have inconsistencies, distortions. It’s better to have no animations or basic animations than to ruin the entire game with sloppy AI animations, something that happened with another game, just recently.

Well, AI can be used to interpolate frames of existing animation to make it smoother. But animations generated from a static image are crap.
