I tested one of the outdated save editors and it couldn't find the correct files even when I chose the main folder after having saved and exported progress so all the files were there.

The game has been around for years.

I quite like it but the only real downsides for it is that it is HEAVILY focused on gay content (as in manly man on man gay) and a lot of the furry content is focused on bestial characters, AKA, furries that look more animal than human (with associated pictures).

You might read about wyverns or hyenamorphs, and imagine the sexy versions of them, but then you see the in-game's pictures and you realize that they mostly went for a more realistic (gross) look. I honestly advise playing with pictures off.

Here's a save with a basic human character with 150 stats in everything. It should make things much easier if you want to check the game out. I recommend going to the Dry Plains and just spamming "hunt behemoth" to get 40 XP per battle and level up quick. One or two hits should kill them.

The two traits you really want to work to get are Microwaved and Shifting. Microwaved allows you to refuse transformations from sex and Shifting allows you to transform into any race by using commands like "shift human" "shift centaur" or "shift X" to turn into that species completely after a turn.

after which you have to microwave a dirty water bottle in the lab, unlock a volunteer trait by leveling up a bit, and then choosing the microwave trait from the available choice.

Yeah, it's some .net thing that I can't help out with. Looks like the original maintainer isn't working on it any longer, either. I dunno much about how the save file format is supposed to look, but it doesn't look like plaintext to me. Maybe it's an interpreter-specific thing.

I played for about 40 minutes to an hour and literally the only enemy I ran into the whole time was the latex fox morph.

I don't even LIKE latex lmfao

I play this on occasion, each time hoping something I am interested in gets added/updated and I am usually disappointed, largely due to the aforementioned focus heavily on the gay and bestial content. The Butterfly, the Viking Woman Sonya, the good/purifying routes on companions like Sarah, etc. They have content to them but most aren't actually complete or they were dealt with as an afterthought. Still plenty to do for any player though, I've gotten proficient enough to not worry about combat too much even on harder difficulties and can easily identify and avoid unwanted content so I can actually enjoy it to an extent.

Still haven't figured out some things, like how the hell I'm supposed to turn Thomas into an actual female and not just a herm(which I'm told you can do) because there are so many things to do and even the Wiki is completely useless in figuring out some things as things tend to move past it. When it comes to cheating I just use Notepad++ to buff my stats to 99 each(it ain't easy if ya don't know what you're lookin' for but it's the file that says "FSCharacterSave", I don't remember the exact line.).

There's a lot to do, although a good bit feels unfinished and things not pertaining to gay dudes and furries feels downright neglected. But, you may not notice any of that unless you literally play for hours as there's still a substantial amount of straight content it just pales in comparison. There's only like two quest chains in the main story but is an enormous amount of content around it and if you're looking for literary porn quickly you can find it quick and in vast quantities. Quality is up to your tastes.

Addendum: I play the game as boring as you can, a completely uninfected(due to Microwaved) human soldier goin' around tryin' to save folks and bang all the busty non-grotesque women/whatever before the military shows up and I act like nothin' happened with my harem that I totally already had.

It's really not a CoC clone. Not every text game with transformations is a clone of CoC. Like not every crafting game is a clone of Minecraft.

yay I used to be part of his community and constently brought up that fact. yay gay content is fine its just it's way to much and their all incomplete. their so meny people in this game yet he never finish them. which usually isent a problem for a game this big its just this game has a time limit as well.

that and one of my personal problams of I can never get this game to play correctly because i constently forget what platform hes using and the ones he has as a suggestion are completely out of date and incompatable

It's really not a CoC clone. Not every text game with transformations is a clone of CoC. Like not every crafting game is a clone of Minecraft.

also Flexible Survival predates CoC even if you go back to Nimin which inspired CoC and Fen's Unnamed Text Game. there is still Waves of Change

The most likely reason the save failed to load is because you have to have the exact same game version his save is from to open the game. Otherwise it always fails.
