Where is that tiger from in the banner picture? I thought there was only one tiger in the game (Ryousei)

What is the cheat you guys keep rambling about?
Did they removed Trixie? Or they implemented a more elaborating cheating system (before working on the godot port)?

I get many people are not tech literate enough to use debug Sarkath posted.
But if you are playing this game, and you want things for free, maybe spend a few brain cell to learn?
Clearly no one is sharing whatever cheat you guys are begging for.

They're probably hoping for the Patreon stuff.

Pardon my ignorance, but What's the Patreon stuff?
With Trixie and those debug codes, I don't see any other cheats that can be uniquely good.
Supposedly, there are more options for the cheat menu. Or finer control? I don't think a Patreon version has been posted, so it might be bullshit of the usual thing of people saying, "I have a special thing, but will not share, lol."

I think they're referring to this:

I didn't see anything in the source code for this, but it's possible that they could slip it into the released build so that it doesn't appear in their GitHub.

I also doubt anyone here (myself included, tbh) is going to drop $25/mo on this, lol.

Then maybe it's like some random code you type in to get some random bonus, without getting a score penalty?
Like these ones you can gather thru gameplay from older versions but still works?
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
It's mildly weird nobody know what it really is lol, since they should be advertising it like crazy, to incentivize people to pay for that tier.
Yeah with that kind of money at my disposal I'd rather commission them something

So uh, I did a bit of digging (i.e. decompilation, coupled with confusing the hell out of myself) and discovered the code. Stand in the same area as Trixie and type "summerfun".

To be honest, I'm a bit underwhelmed. It does have a few nice QoL features (medikit/journal effectiveness booster, experience boost, and a toggle that resets your sanity to 100 every turn) but aside from that everything it does can easily be done via the debug commands.

I'm also not sure how often the code gets rotated, so I have no idea how long this is going to be valid.

Pretty much, yeah. It's basically debug-lite. :)

Guess Trixie will be really pissed. But from wording it seems they are expecting it to be discovered.
Also, since the dev visit this site very often, pretty sure they will change the location it's stored soon - depending how petty they are against piracy. I don't think anyone who pledge $25 monthly only for the cheats.
And I think they'd change it every month if not every season, cuz "summerfun".

True! Then again, considering how much of a pain in the dick it is to compiling Gluxe (well, partially decompiling it, at least…and I had to modify the decompiler to even get that much), they probably figured it would be leaked rather than scraped.

I did actually find part of it in the code (the "summer" part, anyway. Not sure how that expands to "summerfun" though, hence my confusion, lol…still possible that they could change it before doing a build) so I guess we'll see.

TBH, I didn't expect the dev of FS to be so petty (I was holding them in high regard before this).
Imagine shilling out $25 per month to support your game, and on the bonus you give out to appreciate them, the First message is Suspicious about their Patreon's legilimency. I would think twice if I see that disrespectful message.

Like what they think such words can achieve, other than put bad taste in their patron's mouth, and show how petty they are?
Pirates won't care at all no matter how you want to shame them.
Really childish behaviour.

I think it's just a harmless joke, honestly. Trixie's always been a bit of a cheeky character, so I think they're just playing into that. Now if a dev comes into the thread screaming at me for figuring out the password and leaking it, that'd be a very different story.

Plus, I don't really think the cheat is all that great when you compare it to the debug commands. If they really were that concerned I imagine they would have make those harder to figure out and use (like removing them from the public builds…considering how much of a bitch it is to get this thing to build it wouldn't even matter if they were available in the source release, lol).

"Piracy is a service issue". When you provide a product, you should be thinking about your customers, Not how to combat piracy, if the latter hinders the former.
This is not a joke you should be making to your paid customers and Loyal supporters (heck $25 per month for that little value they provide).
On the other hand, they come here to scream is actually not a big deal. They already made these words, throwing tantrum on a pirate site won't change anything.

How difficult to scrape it is not the point. Maybe there are way easier ways that you don't know?
And it's definitely not easy to obtain: You are the only one here ever did it until now! :p
Also remember it only take one patron to leak the password (tho I doubt, since they are loyal supporters).

The cheat is actually providing value: remember when you show those people debug commands, they still beg for the cheats? Tho not as powerful as those debugs, you can view these cheats as "QoL version of the debugs", it provides much convenience.
Many players don't want to heavily modify the game themselves, they just want a little edge.

Tho there's only one scenario it can paint the devs in good light: You only see this Trixie message if you are using a scrapped password (aka they are only showing this message to pirates), then it'll become kinda clever, that'll be a harmless joke, and it actually shows they are generous - they still let you use it.
Like they indeed have Patreon builds, and the only differences is the password - if you scrap the public version you get something different.

I'd rather have that than have a software dev leave threatening messages about how they can "destroy my PC for pirating their software" and that I was lucky that they didn't. Not even joking…I had that happen for the crime of mistyping a product key, lmao.

Maybe! Then again, this is kind of a niche thing. :p I did find a tool that could decompile Gluxe stories, but I ended up having to modify it, and even then it wasn't able to actually run. I had to decompile it and sift through the string table, then match up what I saw to bits from the source.

I might be able to improve on it if I spent some time on it (though the decompiler was written in Haskell, which I'm not at all familiar with, heh). We'll see.

Yeah, I like how it includes stuff like experience boosters. The game's a bit too slow if you try to play it legitimately, so that would make it a lot more playable without just boosting your level way up and calling it a day.

Come to think of it, it's been a very long time since I've tried playing the game even morely legitimately. Maybe I'll give it a shot with one of the boosters.

I wonder, are they really committing to porting the game to Godot?
Or are they still on the stage of planning / brainstorming?
From what I can see, they really didn't put much work into porting, and very content to keep thing as how it is.
Dissatisfaction only comes from players who actually trying to play the game.
Especially obvious when jfmherokiller said making the game is way easier than playing the game

That's the double edge of easier access to game development, on one hand it gives much more opportunities to people who couldn't make games before; on the other hand, since they don't know the basics, if there's a problem with the engine - like when it becomes obsolete - they won't be able to solve the problem, or it's too difficult that they rather not solve it.

Personally I don't play FS as a "Proper game" anymore, but as a "PornHub" - select a branch of scenes you are interested, and go along with it - which is perfectly align with their current running structure.
That's also one reason why commission is not suited for game development as a whole - they are too short-termed.

It's a disappointment when they don't want to achieve "something more".
But....it is what it is XD

lol, the only way this game is playable is because I can use the github to find the keywords I need to get scenes.

If it weren't for that the repetition would be super boring.
