some mission do have level requierment the olimpic jobs for example (you need the level because a really hard fight, i suggest not to engage with the minimun level because you will be fail )

about items i cannot help you much. i only focus on the mission items and the rest store the in the bunker.
about the pre-sequel you can go a see the wiki (very outdated) or see the code in github.
Yeah The wiki is too outdated to be useful. And I'm not invested enough that I want to dig into the mess in github.
That's why I asked, are there more user friendly (preferably in-game) ways
like most games' debug / dev mode will show the preliminaries / follow-ups

There's a list-all-item debug command, but without the ability to copy the text from in-game to a notepad, it's not very useful either.

depending on what interface you are using, you can open a seporate window. Under git.exe (I forgot the actual name of the client but its the one thats installed when you use the windows version of flexible survival)

Use this button to open the scrollback panel which allows copy paste.

Lol, didn't know you could roll-back this way :ROFLMAO:
Also, here's the ugly all item list for anyone who's interested. (Don't ever use the zAllItems debug command for your sanity!!!)

when i worked on the game(I forget if i ever got my code submitted or if it died from hard-drive rot) and still kind of play with it. I use that and a few other debug commands to dump lists of items, species, events, etc into vscode and then i de-duplicate the values and sort them alphabetically.

I use it to organicly observe the changes between versions because I dont always check changelogs and I regularly dont want to relogin to github on another new computer.

also I learned how to set it up so that i can easily copy paste zallitems. I filled the chat with I think ============ before and after both.

Also if you think thats bad you havent dealt with the save code that allows you to share data between game versions. That will cause the while system to hang for sometimes a solid minute.

the description doesn't explain much, but is the fertile feat only for getting pregnant or does it work for impregnating as well?

This seems like a fun game but the world and its content are a bit overwhelmingly large. It seems like the wiki isn't a useful resource for figuring out in-game content, so is there somewhere else I can find information or do I just have to grope around blindly?

Sadly not and it's the greatest woe of playing this game ATM. The game is a mess on an super outdated engine, navigating / play normally is near impossible.
That's why we really wish they would work on the Godot port they stated as the "future plan" ages ago.

The wiki is still useful if you are new, the information there is accurate, just not updated.
Also this game is classic "Ocean Wide but Puddle Deep", there are tons to explore but the follow ups
Unless you are looking for specific contents, just "grope around blindly" is actually not a bad way to play.

But if you are looking for specific contents and it's not on the wiki, you are sort of out of luck
You can mess with the files to look for information if you're so inclined

... it still terifies me to this day that for some of the people including myself probably make use of my "compiler" patch. In order to even continue compining this game since it wasnt ported to the latest inform7 engine.

The game rn legit in almost of a state like those which run on some version of quest or rags. Where you may need a specific version or the game wont compile or run. Well thankfully its mostly the compilation step (tho i havent tested the latest version of git for gluxe I am still using the version provided by the installer)

Truth is the writer themselves acknowledged how overwhelming all the content is. They themselves even got confused when trying to update the wiki. So the only solution is either you go to the game github, read through the code and figure it out from there on what todo or ask every time you stumble into something you dont know what to do next to the content writer for the event you are trying to trigger in discord. They are fairly friendly and helpful as long as you are not entitled and ask nicely.

Good to know, thanks.

I ran into a bunch of characters that had interesting initial interactions such as the peacock with the hypno feathers, and then I couldn't figure out where to find him again or how to continue his story. He had said to find him at the antique shop and to knock on the back wall three times, but I could never find it. Just lots of situations like that where it's difficult to pursue content.

I'll keep looking around and trying to bump into things but if I get absolutely confused I might try digging through the github just to see where to continue things and if there are any unique interactions that can occur.

One thing I might actually just break into now to try to find numbers for are the stats on equipment though. I've noticed the wiki definitely has numbers on some items, but there are lots of clothes and weapons that I have no idea if they're worth using.

If you don't mind cheating, type this in the game command:
IWannaCheat
IWannaTest
Debug

^ above let you do cheating (like removing bag limit, allowing the game to play longer without limit, etc), full stats and all feats, and the debug allow you to see stats with character when you encounter them.

ZItem (item name) is to spawn an item in your bag
ZallItems is to spawn 1 of all items in your bag. However, be careful using this since the game is made on an old engine, it might get you stuck when you open your bag with how overwhelmingly full your bag is.

Ideally if you keep exploring the location you'd bump into the follow-ups. Tho you might need to move to a different area in that location.
If you "Unlock a location" then you need to go to the Navigation menu to travel.
Can't remember the peacock but it's very early content should be in the wiki.

The problem is if you didn't pay attention at any point, or you just want to see a specific chain of events. You Will Get Lost.
They didn't build a Solid Foundation to support all the future contents, and it shows now after years of add blocks onto the building - which becomes a mess as they are not properly sorted out.
Not helping it seems there's no intention to re-framing the contents so you can Properly Navigate.
Their interest lies solely in adding more contents since that's what pays the bill for the moment.

There is a Hunt command you can use for specific monster and event, but the event is a mess which only show the event name.
Not sure if it's only available thru the Trixie Cheat, or you can get from the Expert Hunter Feat

About equipment, clothes are pure cosmetic, armor and weapon ain't that impactful, unless they added a bunch of OP ones that I hvn't heard of, I'd just use whichever weight the least.
Early on I'd like use the Crowbar from junkyard, which is ez to find and gives you a survival bonus.
Later if you are into Transformation, barehand with Feats is actually way better (Also free up inventory!)
Tho if you find something interesting, Feel free to share them ;)

BTW, if want to use debug mode,
You can Refer to Sarkath' Post about The debug commands.
And I recorded the Full list of items for current build just a few post above.
