it means nobody is out there sharing the files to you.wdym by there is no seeders open?
Like John Marston said, the way torrents work is that files are distributed by individuals. Say 5 people have the file you want, when you download using the torrent, you receive data from those 5 people, the holders of the data are the seeders, who distribute the data to the leechers, the people currently downloading.wdym by there is no seeders open?
correct me if I'm wrong, but does that mean that the original seeders lose access to the files? Sorry if my question if way too retarded, I never used torrent before.Like John Marston said, the way torrents work is that files are distributed by individuals. When you finish downloading a torrent, you stop being a leecher and become a seeder and are able to distribute that data to others, which is why it's vital for people to seed as much as they can, since without seeders, there's no data to transfer.
think of it like a usb you transfer a picture to it for a friend (seed it) you still have the image, and now too does your friend. it would negate the whole purpose otherwise.correct me if I'm wrong, but does that mean that the original seeders lose access to the files? OK it actually worked today, but how do i use the subs? i never seem these kind of filesit means nobody is out there sharing the files to you.
torrenting is the sharing of files peer-to-peer, so there isn't a dedicated server to host these files for you to download, meaning ur the files largely depends on other people to be shared for you, called "seeders."
No, it's just like any other download. The seeder is the host, and you copy their data, so now there's one more complete piece of that data around. It's literally like copying some files from one folder to another, the original files are still in the original folder, and the new one has copies of the original files. They don't get moved, just replicated.correct me if I'm wrong, but does that mean that the original seeders lose access to the files? Or see it like this:correct me if I'm wrong, but does that mean that the original seeders lose access to the files? Sorry if my question if way too retarded, I never used torrent before.
Most video players will use .ass files that have the same filename as the video if they're in the same folder.OK it actually worked today, but how do i use the subs? i never seem these kind of files
if i try dragging it into the video player while running the video nothigs happens, and moving the sub files to the folder with the video also didn't do anything, any suggestions? Most video players will use .ass files that have the same filename as the video if they're in the same folder.
You can also drag and drop a subtitle file into the video player with the video loaded to load the subs.
So like, just move/copy the .ass files to the folder that has the videos.
Oh, you're using the weird Windows default player.if i try dragging it into the video player while running the video nothigs happens, and moving the sub files to the folder with the video also didn't do anything, any suggestions?
i see thanks, is there a way to keep the subs pre selected for each video? so i dont have to manually select them each timeOh, you're using the weird Windows default player.
Seems like you can use the button on the bottom left to enable the subtitles. View attachment 5028345
If you want to upgrade your experience, I'd recommend usingYou must be registered to see the links(scroll down to assets and download MPC-HC.2.5.0.x64.exe) orYou must be registered to see the linksinstead of the Windows default.
The way to keep the subs pre-selected is to change to a competent video player. The Windows Movies & TV app does not have settings to change anything about its behavior and as such you cannot make it use subtitles as a default.i see thanks, is there a way to keep the subs pre selected for each video? so i dont have to manually select them each time
Thank you, i don't like how the UI in VLC is all white so i tried MPC-HC instead but i can't find a way to open video files with it automatically, any ideas? The way to keep the subs pre-selected is to change to a competent video player. MPC-HC and VLC do show subs as default, and have settings to let you choose how they pick subtitles such as having language preferences or defaulting to embedded subs vs subtitle files in the video folder.
In the first screenshot, check "Always use this app to open .mp4 files" and click More apps, then scroll down and see if MPC-HC is among the additional options. Otherwise, choose to browse for programs. In the explorer window that pops up, navigate to the folder you installed MPC to and choose mpc-hc64.exeThank you, i don't like how the UI in VLC is all white so i tried MPC-HC instead but i can't find a way to open video files with it automatically, any ideas?
