Never mind found it. For those who are also looking, go north when you enter the Sap forest. If there's one thing to give this game credit for, its that they really know how to make huge areas to get lost in

(Edit: Spoke too soon needs a key lmao)
do you remember how you managed to get past the forest of bandits, ive read the messages at the lab, ive beaten the witch but im unable to get past that device still. any idea how to do it?

Oriental Swords are in Zipang Town, you get there from Mercator Road - Old Road.

Just follow the path and you'll get there. Near the entrance, there's also a place where you can collect Iron Sand. You'll want a LOT of that, if you don't have it in the hundreds already, because it's needed to make the special steel that you need for the oriental blades.
hello mate, i know its a long shot and you may not remember, but do you know what i have to do to find the forest of thieves? i just finished the tree boss thing and it says i still have the forest of thieves to do and the hidden lake boss (i dont know where he is either lol) if you dont its fine.

Well, I didn't remember, but I do still have the game, so as far as I can check...

To get to the Forest of Thieves, assuming you don't have any other intermediary:
1. Most likely to have warp point is Juki Mining City. Go north from there to Akyuu Mines and traverse them. You'll reach an "Ancestral Village" and from there, going to the right takes you to Mori Market. Going up and then left there takes you to Libra Road.
2. Libra Road also has a warp-point, if you already have this one, start from there. Going left (West) from there takes you to the Forest of Sap, which you need to cross to reach Metus City. North of the second section of the Forest of Sap is the Witch Hut which also has a Warp Point you can use.
3. Regardless of how you got there, you need to pass through Metus City to the top (North), grab the back gate Warp point and then head north to the so called Forest of Thieves/Bandits/whatever.

As for the Lake Secret boss, that's somewhere in the Suigestsu Lake, which is at the end of Suigetsu Forest. You'll get access to this one through a story event from what I remember because there's no direct route to it. A warp point will be provided for you or some such, though I don't remember when or how.

ah i see, im still slightly confused though because ive been to the forest of bandits, but apparently the forest of thieves is a different area. when i did go there if i turn to the right i run into a barrier so i cant get through that part. i asume thats the forest of thieves. i have looked into it and apparently i need to give some kids sundae or something, issue is i cant seem to find any of them so im stuck lol. thanks for your help though mate.

Genuinely no idea I'm afraid. It's not near any of the Warp points, whatever it is. Without more clues, I'm afraid I can't help even if I look around the game.

Ok, so somewhat late answer.
If you are refering to the Forest of bandits 2, when you asked me, as Forest of thieves: The access to the Forest of Thieces is to the right of the Metus Travel point.
Up North is the Bandit hideout (which is part of Chapter 1) and left is the access point to the "mines" where you begin chapter 2.

There is a difference between the bandits and the thieves.

To access the Foret of Thieves you need to start and progress through the "Maid Quest line" (this gives a new job with new outift).
This quest line does not start until chapter 3. During that quest line, your "employer" will inform to do some "Maid jobs" at Metus.
It is there, where you are asked to bring tea/coffee to someone. And then you can enter the Forest of Thieves.

But if I read your post correctly you figured that one out already.

Regarding "the promenade", was ist mentioned in a quest, a NPC, as I do not remember a location named like that.

Meteor49 did nice comprehensive guide, and I know there is another one here in this thread.

Walkthrough.txt
This one is from 3.3.10. You already have this within the file when you extract it in this version.
This walkthrough is a simple one. (The thread has already update to 3.3.11 so you just missed it.)

My Walkthrough.txt
This is mine that I made in my free time. You can see my post on page 9.
This walkthrough is a detailed one that I played through. I replayed the game just to make this.

Don't know where else to put this, but Forest of the Abyss 3 has got an official English Patch now.

Anyone got a Full Gallery save?

First, the game hasn't released v1.0 yet, stop jumping the gun and asking for a 'full' save when it's not even got one of the teased endings yet.
Second, the gallery content, without dialogue, is uncompressed in a set of video files in one of the folders if you really want to look at it.

Ok, jeez. Admittedly, was waiting for the English patch before playing, so I presumed it was functionally similar to the 2nd game. My bad.

The translator recently had to translate a message which is pointed at requests like this. I didn't mean to jump down your throat, but, when the author literally adds...

-Comments that significantly lower the author's motivation may be deleted.
-Please refrain from asking about game walkthroughs.

Well, you clearly need to tell people not to ask for free bypasses. They put a lot into the story, so did the translator. Please, just please, don't ask how to skip to the end.

Bro I don't wanna be that guy but fr, the hell do you expect from an unofficial game forum?

Of course people will ask for various stuff, from more reasonable things (such as a full-save, which is actually quite easy to even cheat through and then share with others, as I have), to less reasonable things (such as specific mod request, when there's really not much of a will to make them; or fixes to errors that are not clearly detailed to understand the situation).

This is par for the course, and really, why would the author even read this type of forums, and secondly, why would he feel demoralized by "people asking for full saves"? Like, they still engage with your work at that point, it's literally their choice how they consume it, there will always be people at least mildly interested in playing through the story / gameplay, but at least you now also get the people who would simply play the game for its full gallery.

There are things that could potentially demoralize the author, and it would be understandable for them to complain about those aspects (such as piracy, for a better example), but complaining about people wanting full saves, this ain't it chief

I personally like somewhat of what you said, but let me also add in.
There are many authors... rpgmaker devs, renpy devs, and unity devs who know of our community and the other "sites like this".

As an extra, there are even devs who do everything in their power to shut us down or lock down features in their game if they know the game has been pirated(which is their right), so your argument about the author not checking here or even other places, could be very mute! for this and any other game you see in the future and maybe in the past.
Just something else to add to our ever growing knowledge :D
