I don't really know what to do. There's around six enemies or so and when I go through portals there's only a little more area to go or it leads to an event. No tutorial I could see. I managed to change the language and see the controls. But this game I thought was super hyped-up but I don't see the spectacular part of the game.

You should had tried the Original Versions first, this is a Remake of the original, there's not such a thing as progress right now and what you can play are basically place holders that will eventually be combined in a full map, basically the dev is concentrating in making enemy assets, behavior and animations a few map designs, combat and abilities before moving to create the rest of the game around them.

So if you want something like Succubus Affection or the original games you will need to wait a few years before trying this game again.

Because the progression comes from capturing the monster girls. Honestly surprised you wouldn't know that.

Honestly the november build is a disappointment and it is a real shame. Zell had great game design decisions with both FoBS and Succubus but now with this remake we have lag issues, lack of optimisation but also bad game feel. The dash is extremely klanky to use due to stopping at the end, teleporters don't work, ladder doesn't work, and the entire system of weapons and skills make the game extremely alpha to even pre-alpha rather than a demo or beta build. It is a downgrade in every aspect.

It is extremely disappointing. Zell would need to adjust a lot of things to make this a passable build compared to the previous stable versions.

It is alpha/pre alpha at the moment... It's basically a gallery showcasing the remaster, with some new features thrown in like the orgies. To compare this to finished/ almost finished games like SA and FOBS is ridiculous.
Some teleporters and ladders obviously don't work yet, he's only just started working on it in about the last 6 months.
It doesn't need saves because there is no progression yet and capturing mechanics are still janky as he's explained in update notes before.
Zell's forte is character design and animation and not programming, FOBS he does both unlike the other games he's worked on like SA and the horror game where he just did the animations. So it may take him a while.

Yeah, I figured that would be the case. Animation is Zell's forte as far as I've been told, so the fact that they've made this much progress with the animation part is both impressive and to be expected. With that in mind, programming (again, as far as I've been told) is their piano, or their mezzo forte at best.

His attention is currently split between this and SA2, so I think this game's progress will immediately accelerate after that game gets released.

That was me. I wasn't signed into google at the time.
I also did a lot of work for the fandom wiki while it was still active, and even solved a problem that was around for years.

Oh, okay then. If that's the case, then I would greatly appreciate your help on this in the future. (I probably don't even have to ask, but I may as well be polite instead of assuming-) I did not have the chance to experience the game in the past, so I don't have nearly as much experience with what's to be expected and just the general methods of finding some of the finer details of the game out.

The why there is leftovers of other games there is because he probably used to test the game with better resolution sprites, the ones from FOBS old are worst, so probably used this until he make the new ones. Also he can test mechanics from the other game with already made sprites and hitboxes.

Start with the A version, then go to the B version. The latest version is a complete remake being worked on (relatively) from the ground up, so it's very much unfinished in every way, though it's being updated roughly every month.

While the old game was decent at the moment, it didnt age well, most new Side-scrollers are better (succubus affection from same developer is a good example) and if this game wanted to keep developing it needed a change, also the old engine has a limit for use thats why the game was separated, something that now can be done in 1 game.
Correction, the combat is more complex not bad, like the one in SA.
Is an alpha so many things are not implemented, like there is the icon for salamander girl from fobs b but she is not in the game yet.
The capture is there for most enemies and u can see the animations in bestiary, also this works if they kill u.
The store has the girl animation already and what do u want to build now, with 2 really easy bosses being the difficult part.
The most difficult thing for now is doing the monkey girl in no hit (and it only has 4 attacks), which achievement doesnt work and dont give anything for it.
