You'd be right, it WAS completed. But Zell decided to return to it and remake it now that they've got a bit more experience in making games. (cough cough the absolutely godlike game that is Succubus Affection cough cough)i thought this game was complted ages ago its still going i think the last thing i rember was a haunted house as the last area
If you search "save" in this thread, I guarantee you someone has one (if not both) of the older versions. Shouldn't take you too long to find it.anyone got a save
i thought this game was complted ages ago its still going i think the last thing i rember was a haunted house as the last area
I don't think it was ever "Completed" so much as it was "I still want to add more but the engine physically can't handle me doing that". Which is why Zell ended up swapping engines. You'd be right, it WAS completed.
Yeah, that makes a bit more sense, my bad on that bit of misinformation then.I don't think it was ever "Completed" so much as it was "I still want to add more but the engine physically can't handle me doing that". Which is why Zell ended up swapping engines.
That's the story as I remember it, anyways. I know that engine limitations was why the original FOBS was split into A and B, at least.
...I would like to mention that you missed the entire other method of pulling this off (and the fact that both methods have been discussed earlier, even on this very page), which I'm not sure if you intended, but I'll just assume it was in good faith at least. That said, help figuring out some of the other captures would be much appreciated. As mentioned somewhere above, the ones are currently up in the air whether of not they can be captured are:To capture the ants, you only need 1 ant and first you need to lower its life so that it starts to masturbate to capture you, once it starts to masturbate, you hit it so that it freezes and hit it again until you defeat it so that you can capture it.
cant rember if i trided it or not so then which version would be the one to playYou'd be right, it WAS completed. But Zell decided to return to it and remake it now that they've got a bit more experience in making games. (cough cough the absolutely godlike game that is Succubus Affection cough cough)
For a full experience, I think you'd want to play the A version. I'm not sure about the B version, but I think they both still have significantly more content than the in-progress remake.cant rember if i trided it or not so then which version would be the one to play
How do you capture Kappa?...I would like to mention that you missed the entire other method of pulling this off (and the fact that both methods have been discussed earlier, even on this very page), which I'm not sure if you intended, but I'll just assume it was in good faith at least. That said, help figuring out some of the other captures would be much appreciated. As mentioned somewhere above, the ones are currently up in the air whether of not they can be captured are:
- The Slime
- The Hopping Mushrooms
- The Orcs
- The Orc Boss
The rest have either been figured out or aren't even typical enemies (as in they won't attack or do damage to you, but can still be interacted with), so if you can help the rest of us figure out how those ones are supposed to be handled if at all, it would be much appreciated.
(Sorry for hitting you with such a long message out of nowhere, btw. I'm not trying to bore you to death, I promise.)
The latest version is a Remake of the original, the older versions A and B are separated because of the game engine limitations that's why the devs decided to remake the game in a new one.I may be a complete idiot, but I don't understand the versions thing.
If I download the latest download am I ok, or do I have to download the old builds as well?
This is the only game he's working on for now. The others are, indeed, in the development queue, but not actively in development. Also, your second guess is...kinda correct? Each version is more than just a sneak peek, as a good chunk is usually added, but there are things in the game that are very likely or for sure coded already coded, just inaccessible in the current version. So while I do think the demos are a measure of progress, I don't think they're an absolute indicator. So i've been following up with the builds and my main question: is he only posting a few sneak peaks every month and has done alot more work than we can see or is these all the mechanics/anims he made so far? Also what are the status of his other games? I heard he's working on 2 other games, that are shiro no yakata adjacent i think?
I'mma do you and everyone else a favor and make a Google Doc with all of the known captures and their methods. Give me about an hour, tops. How do you capture Kappa?
I heard he was having conflicts with the other dev he was working with on their differing visions of the game, which is why i asked. This is the only game he's working on for now. There'll probably be a place for it eventually. For now, they go to the same place Sonic stores his rings, I'd assume.Where do captured end up anyways?
Fair enough. I don't know enough about that conflict to make heads or tails of it, so I can't help you on that. As for that second part, like I was suggesting, I think your first guess was the closest to correct. I do think there's more finished than there is shown, so it'll still take a while, but probably not years. Hopefully not.I heard he was having conflicts with the other dev he was working with on their differing visions of the game, which is why i asked.
And the sneak peak part i meant because he's adding parts completely detached from each other, like adding only the boss, or the shop without the areas that came before it or the actual shopping mechanic. I mean if he's only making 2-3 animations/events per month it's going to take years. He also removed some animations/mechanics from previous versions, like the monkey boss, which he re added recently with a few changes. Same with the goblin boss.
...I swear I'll have this done soon, I'm just trying to work out some details. 30-45 more minutes should do the trick.I'mma do you and everyone else a favor and make a Google Doc with all of the known captures and their methods. Give me about an hour, tops.
