The second one doesn't exist. A missing achievement will always look like the first one if it is coded into the game properly.

For the first achievement, take this excerpt from the guide and follow it to the best of your ability.

Thanks for the reply, I already did this quest with all the optional stuff included. Perhaps my achivement is simply bugged.

That one is just empty, don't sweat it.
The other one there is a bit of a misunderstanding going on.
You need to spend the night with the reading/bookish elf to unlock that one; not just complete her quest.

Tried launching the new october version but keep having the error "Loadlibrary failed with error 126: the specified module cannot be found" tried redownloading and got the same error. I could run the september version fine. any ideas?

Hey guys. I was able to run previous versions of this game years ago but the Oct update gets the unable to start correctly error. Did a search in this thread and followed the potential solutions given (in 2021) and nothing works. Any potential solutions?

Already had JapLoc option installed, tried updating .net framework, tried fixing it. got DirectX installed already.

I didn't answer before because I didn't see the image before, but this is 100% an issue with C++. So, here you go, the age-old solution. You shouldn't have to do this again for any other games after this.

Edit: for clarification, Microsoft's version will not work 90% of the time, as you don't entirely know what all is missing. It could be one file, it could be five, it could be all BUT one. And often times, Microsoft's way is very roundabout-ish, which makes things more difficult than they need to be. Doing the batch download through either of the methods in this solution (I suggest the second one, just in case) ensures that you have every single file you will ever need.
