Game files are everything that makes a gun run/operate/work.game files?
oooh, you meant them separate. What do you mean?
I was talking about the pirate look girl on the top and mentioned the h-scene of the bandit leader
Which what that horror gallery game ended up being.(Reminding that the FOBS project before becoming a game as planned to only be an interactive gallery).
That is such a hit-or-miss.side note, the update release method (consistent monthly updates that usually dont add much on their own) makes me worry slightly that zell might burn out on making this, as i feel that trying to tie a project, passion or obligation, to a strict, repeating time frame inevitably causes it to be less enjoyable (i'd prefer a "ready when its ready" update ideology, but giving monthly/bi-monthly status reports, but that might just be me)
i may have poorly worded it, but i ultimately meant something similar to your final lineThat is such a hit-or-miss.
Valve Time is something many fail to master.
I know many examples too cough Fap Night's cough which work that way and utterly fail.
I say every dev should find their own rhythm and not be expected do be/do something one way or the other.
I think what you're asking for is exactly what Zell is doing. As someone who has slight struggles with focus, making a schedule for myself is the best thing I can do to ensure that I can act on my passions. It doesn't make it a chore by any means, it just allows me to have a timeframe to work with for some form of structure. I guarantee you that if Zell needed to do "ready when it's ready" updates, they would, but as it stands, they're using a method that is most comfortable to them. Sure, not every update may have the utmost substance, but each update is a step forward, even if only an inch. And that reminder in and of itself is enough for some people.i may have poorly worded it, but i ultimately meant something similar to your final line
let devs work on/release content at their own pace, just with the addition of letting the community know what's going on from time to time, and maybe giving a sneak-peek (in this case, maybe showing a portal leading somewhere within the swamp with some warning signs next to it, but not showing what happens if you enter), though they dont have to if they wish to surprise said community
its just that i feel adhering to a specific update/upload schedule could lead to loss of interest in continuing to make content, even if said content is being made at a comfortable pace (again, this might just be a me thing)
i dont mean to seem like im demanding things be done a certain way (and i apologize if it came across that way, i just wanted to give my own opinion), and in the end, it's zells choice regarding the update schedule/content, i just dont want them to push themself to the point of burning out
Just when I thought I made a coherent early-morning message, I messed it up at the very beginning. Damnit-
