I didn't answer before because I didn't see the image before, but this is 100% an issue with C++. So, here you go, the age-old solution. You shouldn't have to do this again for any other games after this.

Edit: for clarification, Microsoft's version will not work 90% of the time, as you don't entirely know what all is missing. It could be one file, it could be five, it could be all BUT one. And often times, Microsoft's way is very roundabout-ish, which makes things more difficult than they need to be. Doing the batch download through either of the methods in this solution (I suggest the second one, just in case) ensures that you have every single file you will ever need.

Use double jump to hit the bee hives on the top.

Talk to the Bookish/reading Elf and it will spawn a rat/mouse bandit the hallway with pillars and a code door.
Hide behind the pillars to know the code.

lol I just saw this post and realised I'm missing a girl, yet I can't find her mentioned in the guide, is this just an enemy that once was in the starting area and then deleted, or I somehow completely missed her?

All you have to do to get her in the book is fill her Intercourse Meter once. As indicated by the X, she may be capturable later, but not at the moment.

I was playing through version a, and I got to the hound dog puzzle. The guide says to jerk off until the lights turn green, but no matter how long I do it they never turn green. Am I just being an idiot or is there something else I need to do like got to each of the cages in a certain order.
