This response is probably the best you can give. A simple explanation of why it takes a while - I think a lot of people are genuinely unaware how long stuff like this can take, especially on your own.

Leaving features you want to an entirely different game is a pretty good way to avoid scope creep.
Hello. I'm the dev of the game. A false alert from your antivirus most likely.
Just mentioning just in case, the site I ran it through is one recommended by f95zone to check and it flagged it. Played the game at an earlier point and loved it, wish you the best in developing the game, but until I know something is safe I don't think I'll chance it.
That's fine. Idk anything about computers, but I've been working with the same programmer from the very beginning. What could i do to make it safe?
He is probably using VirusTotal to check for viruses, which it does show 2 potential trojans (probably just false alerts) by 2 of the scanners, so you can check there to see. I checked the zip and unzipped files with my own Virus detector + 2 more online virus file scanners, and they did not find anything, so I am going to assume it is probably just false alerts.
