Comes no today an update.
At least that what seems to happen. The programmer is in some kind of existential crisis or somsuch.
Not gonna lie, can't wait till we get to fuck Jinora, Kya and probably even Kuvira (if I am getting my timelines correct). Im curious if we might get a book 5 to face whatever we trained for. 0.9.5 onward probably

It feels like the coder doesn't really start working on the update until the last second
I'm not going to pretend coding is a breeze but pretty much every time there's a delay its the coder. Hell he was the one who said "one more week" more than a week ago

The programmer get an existenstial crisis that last months or weeks every few months since that whole disaster a while ago it seems.
They really refuse to hire a backup programmer or what ? Cause like it would solve 90% of their problems.

Dammit, they make over 10k$ a month each from patreons like me. I promptly quit supporting them. This is not cool. We don't talk here a writer block that can neither be predicted nor mended by mere decision. We talk goddamn python programming, probably the friendliest among languages.
I dont see there being a new coder unless the current one quits on his own accord. The artist might be the public face of MITY but I dont know its ever been said that its strictly his project (meaning he could get rid of the coder if he wanted). Its been the two of them for years so I dont really see them changing that when theyre halfway done with the 4th book.
That being said, the Artist really needs to tell the coder to get his shit together. He has a pretty consistent track record of falling behind on updates meanwhile the Artist will finish what they need to do for the current build and already be working on scenes for the next one. Obviously we dont know whats said between them behind the scenes but if the artist has tried to get the coder on task then it clearly isnt working.
Its honestly more sad than annoying, this is one of the best western porn games out there right now and the updates are almost always top notch, but they have a nasty habit of failing to meet deadlines and lengthy periods of radio silence leaving patrons in the dark (the artist is a little better about this, at least). Considering we're now 10 days into October and still no word on when the update is even coming out, they should give the update to anyone who was pledged last month regardless of their October pledge (or lack thereof). While each update sometimes takes a few days more than a month, 10 days (assuming it were released today) is too much, especially since it was promised "in a week" more than a week ago.

The other problem is that overall the patreon community has this really weird mindset that you aren't allowed to complain about something you have the choice not to pay for, and will generally let creators fuck about for weeks/months or more without putting out any significant content, and thats encouraged certain creators *cough* ICSTOR *cough* to milk patrons goodwill for months on in and rake in money for doing nothing, so long as they occasionally make a "Totally working on it guys but Im stressed and sad 
" post, and people cheer this stuff on.
I just dont want MITY to end up like that, its clear that at least one of them has genuine passion for the project and wants to do more in the future, but if you can take home 25k a month by phoning it in, why bother?

They don't have to replace coder. There are plenty of freelancers out there. I used to work with an Indian guy that made excellent PHP coding for a reasonable price and real fast (I gave him more than he demanded after seeing the quality AND speed. He earned it!).

you forget, that, to a big part, this coder is also the writer which means, artist alone even with a different coder would be a complete game changer. that has been explained a small few years ago in some patreon post. cba to dig it up, since i dropped any patreon years ago. in essence, this coder out could mean good luck writing the story. matters worse, that time of his health/mental etc crash would be close to a full year now? maybe stuff comes back up. mammal brains never work right.
Its a shame because the first build for book 4s love route was the best opening build theyve ever done, and it started this route with so much promise, it would be really shitty to have to go through months of delays and silence like last year

Oh you think we don't. Cute. I have like 15 other games I check once in a while, yet only rarely these make me anticipate the next update. That goes to show that MITY is doing something right.

I never said to replace him, I said to get another coder in addition, having only 1 artist and 1 coder was a bad idea from the start if you make enough money to hire backup.
Like, it's just a basic organisation advice that would literaly solve every problem MITY currently has.
