You literally opened with calling it an early-zoomer x late-zoomer dynamic.
Is zoomer (Gen Z) a slur now? I don't get how a reference of time would get one to jump to (so many) conclusions. That is a cognitive distortion.

MITY already expressed desire to do Dragon Prince some time back so that other point just goes out the window.
I would rather stick to his body of work as evidence than a throwaway quote, people say a lot of things.

It's funny to see the early-zoomer x late-zoomer dynamic going on this thread.
Mity are clearly in their late 20s/early 30s based on the parodies he has made (Avatar, Teen Titans, Ben10...). All cartoons from around 2005.

In this thread, people are asking for stuff like My Hero Academia which is from mid 2010s (heck, even Dr Stone has been thrown around). Unless they are otakus or still keep up with children cartoons, I highly doubt we will ever see something from after 2010. I'm around their age and I still have no idea what a show like Adventure Time is about.
That's a very weird point to make.
I'm in my early 30s, even if they are not from my generations, I grew up with shows from the 80s, then of course, 90s and 2000s.
But.. I still watched shows from the 2010s and still continue to watch cartoons and animes nowadays.

It doesn't mean I have seen everything there is to see, but the same way I don't project myself, and I perfectly understand some people might have moved on, you shouldn't project yourself and declare everyone who was mature enough to understand and retranscript 2000s shows have suddenly lost all interest in animated shows (once again, I include Western and Asian shows).

Quick reminder that the biggest fanbase of MLP, initially a marketing show targeting young girls, was actually men between 20 and 30 years old. Yeah, the same that grew up with 2000s shows...

You may have no idea what Adventure Time is, but quick reminder, you are not the last man alive on Earth, your life experience, or lack of has no authority over other people's experience.

I really don't get why you people are getting so butthurt over something so minor as "I have no idea what people are into these days".

It is like I'm attacking your identity or something, chill, it is just media.
Don't let what you consume or your opinions define who you are.

That's not the issue. The issue is you thinking that your knowledge is reference for everyone else and projecting. I don't feel attacked by what you are saying. I'm just telling you, put your ego aside, and realize other people exist too.

You are saying this:

"Mity are clearly in their late 20s/early 30s based on the parodies he has made (Avatar, Teen Titans, Ben10...). All cartoons from around 2005.

Which is a pretty bold statement. Are you Mitty, do you know them enough to talk in their name? I doubt that.

And then, you justify this by saying this :
" I'm around their age and I still have no idea what a show like Adventure Time is about. "

Good for you, I guess? But once again, not the last man alive, that's on you, but that's not enough to make conclusions on another person life experience.

What you are saying has nothing to do with me, hence why I don't feel attacked. You're free to "highly doubt we will ever see something from after 2010", no one knows what we will see, it's pure speculation. But don't justify your opinion by projecting yourself on other people. That's called egotism, and it's rarely a good trait. Have you heard the expression "get off your high horse"?

By the way, the irnoy, isn't it you that posted this ?

Quit wasting your time with the idiot. The amount of gaslighting they've been doing has me convinced that it's a troll who needs to get an actual hobby. All it's doing is derailing.

You people keep jumping to conclusions. What I say isn't set in stone, I saw his body of work and made an educated guess. Of course, it is speculation, It was never stated as a fact and It's on you for misunderstanding. If you bothered to copy-paste my comment, you could have bothered to read it too.

I stand by the tweet print. I said "I doubt Mity will parody stuff outside his wheelhouse" and you read "'im projecting, that I think anime is for children, that I'm shitting on other people's wishes, I'm gaslighting and trolling, I'm on an egoist on a high horse" - simply because I added an anecdote that I don't know about a cartoon and you people LITERALLY can't understand the meaning of the sentence "unless they are otakus or still keep up with children cartoons". That is beyond illiteracy, it's a . Try reading the quoted sentence at face value as an exercise.

You were the one who started a tangent based on misinterpretation and later brought woke hysteria to the topic, and I need a hobby? That is rich.

Honestly, I would love any of these to be MITYs next project:

The Spectacular Spider-Man
2003 Clone Wars
Samurai Jack
A Spider-Man game where he isn't tortured like most of his comics and actually gets with all the girls he rizzes up without it all ending in failure would be great lol

Especially a proper Black Cat route

The last time mity opened a poll to choose the next fan game to be made, check out his posts and maybe see a new poll! But at least not until the game is finished.

I'll try really hard to stop posting after this. The irony is lost on you. You even quoted me, so how can you misinterpret what I said?

you quoting me said:
"I'm around their age and I still have no idea what a show like Adventure Time is about. "

Good for you, I guess? But once again, not the last man alive, that's on you, but that's not enough to make conclusions on another person life experience.
That's where you are projecting, not when you are "making an educated guess". the part where you make an "educated guess", is the part where you are speculating and giving your opinion.

Talk about cognitive distorsion...
Here, have another facepalm...

Because right now I feel like jumping in front a train to rinse my brain from your idiocy.
