Tbh they could release it next November and still be more consistent and transparent than most devs.

Right now I think it's just whether or not the coder can recover from burnout. If it's clear that he can't then I guess the artist will have to help code the update or finish it up if it's that close to completion. Then it's in the air whether they will try to expand staff to reduce the load or not.

Personally, I think they're mostly done but don't want to set a release date too early to keep pressure low and perhaps to plan for future updates and have a more manageable calendar.

There's been countless explanations as to why this is the case. More than likely there will be an update either by the end of the month or beginning of December.
yeah of course there's always a million reasons why they're late to release an update and obviously it happens to all porn game creators, you can make a list of the worst things that can happen in someone's life and you can be sure that one day one of these Dev will use one of the things on the list to explain his delay (of course its possible he's telling the truth, but when I see all these excuses (which are sometimes totally stupid and incredible nonsense), I can't no longer believe them)
But as I said sometimes they tell the truth but we can't figure out if it's true or not and I end up doubting
ps: sorry for my bad english

I mean, this guy has a really good record. He's almost never on time to be fair, but he's never horribly late like others(WHT, IW, AP). If he says, for example "Nov 15th", you'll have it within 7 days of that. However, in order to keep better promises he stopped giving concrete deadlines--which is understandable considering everyone froths at the mouth the moment he's a day late. This is the first time he's had ANY big delay that I recall-- and I've been here since the concept was first given for Book 1.

MITY is very open about issues, and, while most people would go "Oh, my coworker can't work, time for me to take a break too!" in this business, MITY chugs along working into the future, and does extra things --like the Halloween update he did solo-- to keep us appeased and be ready for future updates.

But I totally get you for most of the Devs on this site. Witch Hunter Trainer's devs are shady as heck (they hide their patron profits), Amity Park's are rather defensive and very indecisive, having now split into a second game that's a genre cookiecutter breeder. Innocent Witches actually should be given some slack: JoeBanks as project leader has had to work with what his predecessor did, which is cockblock the game for 3 years straight and implement a story device (IMVOIS Laws) that disallow H-content. So Joe has to work on writing around all of his predecessor's blatant milking tactics in order to give us something decent. He's really open about what he's working on, and a really nice guy, but as a basic fact, due to the shenanigans of the previous devs, his game doesn't have good credibility to most.

I don't think Mity is lying

However, I almost suspect that the coder is lying

Why I think this goes back to an earlier Mity blog post

He said something along the lines of "I asked the coder to send me what he has finished in order for me to help with it" Then Mitty goes on to say that the coder didn't want to send anything over because of reasons"

This makes me think that the coder didn't have anything done and was just telling Mitty what he wanted to hear

Boom

That could very well be.

MITY created with help an amazing game, with consistent updates, seemingly no breaks, that are always full of quality and fun.
The second he goes "Look guys, our coder is having a really hard time at the moment, he just needs a break" you lot all swoop in and cry a river of acid.

Get a grip. It's like dealing with a school of bloody infants.

Mity make good money for what he does so he already get rewarded for it, we are in no way obligated to be any more lax or nice than we would be for anyone else from that point on, if it was charity work it would be another story but it isn't.

People can be dubious of what happens and talk about the infos they got and their opinions on it, chill out and accept it.

I mean, thats fair. But the same is true about us; We have a right to complain about your complaining.

I nonetheless think it sucks people are picking on MITY of all people. Go throw shade on Team Borsch, GZone, or any number of devs who deliver no content every time they update every half a year or so. GZone's last Amity Park update took 6 months iirc because they were working on a second game that's just a Breeding Season clone. Team Borsch works so slow that their updates usually have seasonal names, not numbers. Go pick on some of the Innocent Witches devs, even. Sad Crab is a mess, though JoeBanks is trying to get it fixed the guys under him are still not the best. There's a reason that it's usually Joe doing PR: Khan and the others tend to spit vitriol and rely on vague defensiveness.

This is MITY's first huge delay. Also, the Coder is out supposedly because of depression-based burnout (though it could be fake, like Botoxman said a few lines earlier). If he's depressed, then hearing 'fans' froth at the mouth about what they want instead of worrying what the situation-- and their own attitude!-- could do to the game at such a precarious time... it could make him far worse. Even if it's not depression and he just doesn't want to work for one reason or another, rioting in the streets is not going to help it. More flies with honey than with vinegar. It would suck if MITY (the company, not the entity, mind you) would implode at this stage of the game.

And quite frankly, I'm sick of people posting here just to rage against his personal problems. I have this game watched and get notifications every single time something is said. It depresses ME that over 75% of these notifications are rage posts.

Isn't MITY the artist? The coder took some time off; you can't just replace a coder that easy. From what I've heard from people who wanted to make mods for FET, the code is pretty messy. If that's true, replacing the coder would put the game on hold for at the very least a month, if not several.

I am never horribly late, maybe 10 days, like last release. Generally speaking, for me it's real life. I have a full time job in a very challenging field. Luckily, I have nice lulls that require nothing, so I can be full time on the game.

But if the dev has made more than a single release in a year, they aren't the worst!
