Ugh, I started from my last save but I can't figure out where to go no. Toph quickly trained me again, and it always says to investigate the tunnels, but I can't see anywhere to go. There's a cracked wall near the entrance that says I'm not strong enough to anything with yet and also a cracked floor with steam that also says I'm not strong enough to pass. I've searched every other spot in the maze a few times and gone to town etc and talked to everyone. Toph is always 'busy' and I upgraded the buildings but nothing changed. I feel like I missed something because I freed a couple of girls in the last version but don't know where they are now (exept the one who runs the shop in my town and June in the tavern).
Any advice? Am I missing something obvious?

There's two of them in the tunnels. One is from clicking a skull candle, another from a chest, if I remember correctly.
