Yeah the slave route for book 4 is complete I'm not sure if you've played it? If you haven't than those scenes definitely come from the slave route.Yes it's the love route have you played the slave route? Is it longer? Because the changelogs show scenes that are far ahead in the storyline.
Just ignore him. He does that once every couple of weeks or so.Clarification needed
i mean, the reason im willing to be cool with it is because they paused the patreon, so nobody can say they're milking the fans for $$Its kind of sad looking at the patreon comments sometimes, I mean I get it FET is one of the greats and I think most people can agree on that but no one is above criticism, its almost cult-like how much leeway people are willing to give and how fanatically they try to dismiss anything that isnt unconditional praise
Ignore the fact that they were milking their patrons already months before pausing their patreon. Same thing happened the year before and people seem to forget about it.i mean, the reason im willing to be cool with it is because they paused the patreon, so nobody can say they're milking the fans for $$
Only took 5 months to get to the point where they realized hey maybe we shouldnt be charging while at the same time outright stating we have no idea when the update is gonna be outi mean, the reason im willing to be cool with it is because they paused the patreon, so nobody can say they're milking the fans for $$
You must be living under the assumption that game creation is magic that doesn't take a lot of hours.I have been wondering this for a while , does anyone think that this project is the only thing they do for a living. To me I always get the sense these porn games on Patreon are side jobs for people who are already employed elsewhere. Sure they make a good amount of money even after Patreons cut but if you were a good creator would you want to solely rely on donations for a living?
Not to be pedantic, but only two months went by that WERE charged and there wasn't a game releaseOnly took 5 months to get to the point where they realized hey maybe we shouldnt be charging while at the same time outright stating we have no idea when the update is gonna be out![]()
Fair pointNot to be pedantic, but only two months went by that WERE charged and there wasn't a game release
Patrons weren't charged for December and won't be for January.
Not at all , plenty of people work two jobs a day some work three different jobs in a week. I am not assuming "because magic" LOL.You must be living under the assumption that game creation is magic that doesn't take a lot of hours.
When devs don't dedicate fully to a project they get pitiful amount of content over time, fail to get support due to low content, end up either dev going fulltime or abandoning the project or get ridiculous wait period between patches.
actually, alot of those games start as some idea, which then grown into some side project while the creators live their "normal life" having a job and whatnot. some use patreon more or less as a platform to introduce their project and "get the word out", and why not, make a few bucks if someone is interested. the money along with the issues tend to grow over time. more patrons more money, maybe more time to spend on developing, bigger project, it's a spiral. i know of the occasional guy explicitely declaring "i don't charge, this is a tip jar" for a while. i think he later hired someone and ofc had to pay that person. Not at all , plenty of people work two jobs a day some work three different jobs in a week. Just wondering how many have the Patreon thing as there main full time Job , certainly it is realistic to think not all of them just do the one gig and it would be realistic to think for the games that don't get a huge amount of support that the people involved would probably have other Jobs. Lets say persons involved after Patreons cut and taxes make 80k a year depending on where you happen to live and if you have a family to support that is not as much money as it would seem. People making 80k in say Sanfran can't even afford to buy a house and add kids into the equation if they have them the amount of money they would likely pull in is not all that after all is it. Now I can only speak for America being that is where I am I would expect though in a fair amount of European cities the cost of living is not really that cheap either.
So back to pondering , I wonder how many have other main jobs.

if a project grows to the size and quality of FET, there's a rather large amount of time to put into, and that can interfere wiht the time you have for a job, or family, or hobbies. hm, maybe that's what started the down slope for cbob. just a guess.
How much are they pulling in? What is Patreon's cut? and what country(in other words tax burden) do the creators live in. For instance if they live in America there are federal taxes and in many states , state taxes. In foreign countries they would likely still pay a federal(USA Tax being Patreon is a US entity) and also pay some type of tax in the country they live in. If we know and I would presume someone does at least on the first two questions ,that would answer quite a lot. If we knew where Mity(artist and coder) hales from then the last question may be answerable as well. Obviously I am grasping at a theory that may have no relevance to the current delays being the reason stated is basically in a nut shell burn out. None the less I am curious about these questions. To be fair the amount of money they take in per month is plenty to live reasonably, meaning they could easily do FET full-time. Granted we couldn't possibly know what their lives outside of FET are like but their patreon could easily be a full time gig if they wanted
