I donwoloaded the mod after I finished book 2. But I'm playing it again and so far the mod didn't give me much trouble (besides making some characters reappear in the city after they left (at least eyepatch captain did).

Nevermind, I'm an idiot. I think she showed up again because it was a different save.
But I'm still missiing that Ty Lee scene, so I'm trying to do all the throne room scenes.
Has there been a determination for if you should give Kya the panties of Katara/Korra? And if so, what are the consequences?
So far no indication of that. I figured he would but maybe we won't see this until near the end?
Little more info would be helpful, what is your system setup? Windows 7, 10, otherwise? What graphic card do you have? Does this problem happen anywhere else? How much memory do you have?
Couple of ideas:
This problem could well be from malware. Run a virus and malware scan using Malwarebytes.

Check to see if there is bloatware running in the background. Apps like Dropbox and Discord are performance killers because they check for updates in the background. Java programs can also end up draining all of the available ram.
Update all of the drivers from safe sources, and by safe source I mean Microsoft or the hardware manufacturer.

if previous versions (i think it was up to 0.93) run smooth and without this issue, could be your system doesn't work well with the renderer used by the newer versions of Ren'Py, other players did have graphics problems with other games for that same reason.
it might be that you just need the version for older hardware, see the post right below:

there are 4 arcs. once you finish an arc you cannot go back.
in each arc you have 1 main girl and several side bitches
