I think you are reading something into Marty's post that isn't at all there. He doesn't say that the Epilogue is Book 1 length, rather that the plan for the Epilogue was created around when book 1 was made and is pretty small scale, like book 1 was. (I highly doubt he could put together even a Book 1 scale update in a single month anyways). He's planning on keeping the epilogue that way, as best I can tell. He probably wants to not deviate to much from the story cbob planned, but can't really consult him anymore to potentially expand the scope of the epilogue.

It's really a shame that all this work has been put in to making a great game, and then it seems like he's giving up in the home stretch. I really want my choices to matter and the fact that you feel like you have to cater to game skippers instead of putting in the effort to make all the books matter to the ending is disheartening. For all the "inconveniance" of "having to play the game" it's much more inconvenient to have an unsatisfying ending forever! I hope he's just being humble, but that's a bad sign.
I guess I did not read it that way it sounded like it was in the scope of early Book 1 plan "Limited" but I know you are keeping a closer eye on it than I am most likely, so I will take your word on it.

yeah that's very sad.. but remember, at every end, a new beginning will happen.. or in marty's case it already begun.. (18titans)
For me though I am not really a fan of Teen Titans art style (comics/shows) even though I had not watched Avatar before playing this game I was aware of the art so I was like okay yeah this is worth a try. Been to busy playing many other games to try 18 Titans yet. Not saying I am not going to try it but my expectations are not high for it and it's not going to be FET or be able to really take its place as far as I know at this point. So just lamenting the end of FET and still hoping it gets the ending it deserves.

Yeah additional scenes would be nice for some of the characters. Marty has said that he would revisit the game and fill in the blanks so to speak but will he really? I mean I just don't think it is likely , he will have his new project to work on and from the sound of it he will be alone so is he going to be able to spend time perfecting FET?

Marty is doing the art so its Teen Titans Marty Style (TM). 18teen titans started as a side project for Marty to learn the basics of writing and programming a game when cbob started to go missing.
BTW, does cbob every communicate with Marty anymore? Did he just ghost everyone?
Art does not look bad, as far as Cbob from my understanding he is completely out of the picture at this point.
If Cbob is completely out of the picture like that, then why shouldn't Marty go ahead and update the epilogue scope? I'm not saying this as a "f*** you" to cbob, but if he is indeed completely out of the picture, then it would stand to reason that all creative control he had over the product has been given up. That's not to say that Marty should completely rewrite the epilogue, but I wouldn't see adding additional content to the epilogue as disrespectful to cbob either. If anything, it would be honoring cbob while improving on the product. But, in the end, this is Marty's game. It is ultimately his decision on what to do. If it were up to me, I would say increase the scope of the epilogue just a little. At least enough to do one last sex-a-thon through all the characters MC met throughout the previous books and tie up all the hanging plot threads. Or maybe a happy ending.

There has been a theory that Marty is burned out. This may be true also from a post he made a while ago the flags needed for past chapters were not logged or set properly for him to easily make this a multiple path ending out side of the love , slave ones. It was Cbobs game and Marty was following a road map not sure at this point how much of the creativity of this game can be solely attributed to Marty as far as the game play aspect obviously the Art is all him and the writing from a certain point may be his as well not sure what Cbob left for Marty when he dipped , but the concept and the overall direction seems to be Cbob's legacy. I would expect any holes in the road map have been filled by Marty just that the original concept and framework for those decisions were already laid out. I would love it if he took his time created a larger body of work and from what I gather many of his patreons would like that as well but as the last post indicates he is not game for that , my feeling is he has seen the light at the end of the tunnel and at this point is racing to get there. It still could be a great finish just not as optimistic about that presently.

all good stories have an ending, it's not different with FET, the only thing I hope its a hero to create a game mod adding new missions, stories, intrigues, scenes, as for the other games I like 18titans but it doesn't even compare with FET, and Ben 10's game is very mixed with other works and I think it was very rushed with Gwen, he remaking the game could create a whole universe there, although what I personally wanted to see was a parody game from One punch man, I know it's anime but...(Tatsumaki, Fubuki, Do-S, Psykos etc)
Does it matter if you picked Katara's or Korra's panties during the beginning of the love route of book 4?
