Tomorrow is the last update for this year, presumably.
Yep!

Small updates tomorrow, the 3rd, and the 10th while I'm doing Christmas and Hogmanay travel. Back to regular development after that.

Edit: With today's update, the game passes 700,000 words or approximately 45 hours of reading

Is Build 142 going to be hosted here, or are we going to be stuck with Build 135 until a certain time has passed?

There's no agreement nor obligation
We will only get a new version if someone paid for it decides to share.
If no one shares, yup we will be stuck, no matter how long you wait

I'm shocked to see people asking despite the fact that the dev LITERALLY has an account here and almost certainly reads all of this thread. Be honest, it's not even that expensive.

Yeah dude, you are barking at the wrong tree.
Go somewhere else If you want to feel good about bragging how you spend your money,
Or you actually like to clown around? :KEK:

In case I misread your intention:
Devs don't CONTROL this site and can't stop people from leaking stuff.
If nobody shares, it's either not enough people interested in the game,
Or they show courtesy, cuz Dev generates good-will and doesn't act like ass.

I don't mind it, actually. I think it'd be incredibly disingenuous of me to be annoyed about people pirating my game(s) when I get so much free feedback as a result.

Like, I'm not gonna upload my paid work here myself, since that would be disrespectful to my project's supporters, but I acknowledge that piracy is a core component of game distribution and also--honestly--not that big a deal, assuming you aren't doing something shady that's driving *all* your players to do it.

That's a very mature take. Kudos.
To be fair, you have every right to be upset that your paid work got pirated.

But that's a reality you can not prevent: 1. Digital goods hv infinity supply; 2. You don't tangibly lose anything;
3. For luxury people only pay if they think the value is fair, but on internet the value varies dramatically.

Why make a scene to antagonising your audience / potential customer, to no one's benefit,
but utterly gutters the Exposure and Good-will which an indie dev desperately needs?
(Like many devs did here, tho for them pirates are not their audiences :ROFLMAO: )

But there are still quite some smart devs like yourself, making the best of the situation.
Or simply avoid this part of community if it really upsets them.
And like you said, a random leak from a constantly updated game really is not a big deal. (In fact It can sway people to become paid customer)

I disagree with this mindset, and I recommend watching and for a more ideological reason to be pirates.

For me personally, I am putting dollars in FOXXXDev to continue his work moreso than any notion of "anti-piracy" behaviour. Words, images and even codes can be replicated and outdone (And I'm no fan of the existing trademark laws either); however it is the man who drives these data points and texts into something of a coherent content. In other words, it's the artist behind the work I pay for, not the work itself for such a case would only see one-time purchases and pull-out after all the content is downloaded. Someone I give with little personal respect like Blitzdrachin or Carpetwurm.

This is the reason why I have no ill thought of AI, as if you don't like AI, you either do better than the industrial machine like John Henry did in his story, do something yet to be done that AI has yet to do or be casted away on the sidelines. If you do work with AI, you better actually utilize its potential as a tool and not an automatic processor of content as the honeymoon period of AI content has dried up completely by late 2024. Some have used it minimally, such as for background purposes. Others have used its audacity as its crux of the content, such as the president AI videos on Youtube. And there are those like NoodleJacuzzi who've used AI to create a viable product that doesn't come off as cheap or half-assed.

......Why are you trying to Justify Piracy to me?
I really don't care what "Ideology of Pirates" you came up with,
if you can't accept the simple fact "You pirate cuz you can and it costs you nothing", that's no skin off my back ;)

I agree with you copyright law is super outdated and overreaching
I also agree with you most people pledge to creators, cuz they like the creations and want to financially support. (That's why it's disgusting when some creators exploiting this relationship)
........
I don't even know what you are trying to argue with me

Also weird place to mention AI, like I never said I'm Anti-AI, It's just a tool, what matters is how it's being used.

I didn't really do that much, and the topic concerning isn't even given any more than a single sentence. If you consider throwing 2 links for recommendation for a reason to make it ideological, on what is the least important aspect of the reply on the first paragraph separated, as an endorsement... I guess?

Though I'd be lying if I didn't have some form of idea on how I approach piracy. Much like your response to TheUsernameIsTaken.

No idea what culture you are from, but from mine, the first paragraph of a text-wall is the most important

And now I'm even more confused, what I have said that you disagree on?
Tho we are probably totally off-topic so I'll just stop, if you have more to say send me dm.
