except the mc is nuclear jesus apparently so at the end of the day the infodumps don't really do anything and the game is already showing this, why would you show 5 different infodumps about the elves if the next scene will just be a random elf making the mc mad and the mc trying to not kill her just by being angryNo. This is actually the right way to do it.
"show don't tell" doesn't apply to this or any of the situations thus far. MC is ignorant of pretty much everything, these infodumps are needed.
It makes perfect sense for the conversation on the train to happen and to be able to ask all those questions.
If I were MC I'd have asked all of those and more. Unlike you, apparently, I wouldn't want to arrive in a different kingdom completely ignorant of the people who live there
wanted to tell me the elves have a council? make a scene about a random guard telling the mc that they need to address the council when he arrives at elven territory and not a random infodump
wanted to tell me that the elves live with a couple of races together? show me a random pixie and a centaur when the mc enters elven territory not a random infodump
this is a classical tell don't show situation
