Poor Liam, blonde musician/guitar player guy, helped Yoon in games begining and later on gave her a music lesson near the end of the first game. And they confused him with Andrew? No surprise there, both kind young men, dont know why people dont like them.

This thread really has become in many ways an example of how not to interact with devs.
After Choices is basically showing angelic levels of patience. I know some of her remarks are snarky, but come on, at this point I would probably just tell people to fuck off or leave the site altogether.

What you can gleam from how this went are two things IMO.
1. It is okay to disagree with the choices a dev makes, and of course you have the right to voice that disagreement. It all comes down to HOW you do this, though. You can be the epitome of entitlement, as many people here have been, and declare that the dev is wrong and a liar and traitor and horrible person or that she has broken every rule of civilization and democracy and what not OR you can voice your opinion in a friendly and respectful way, even if you decidedly disagree with the dev. You can even go and do what the dev suggests and become a patron, if she offers a patron as a means to have influence in the development to some small extent.

2. Devs are people. They have feelings, they have problems, they have a limit to the abuse they are willing to endure. AND since they are people, often with families and loved ones, they need to earn money, so that they and their loved ones can eat and have a home over their head. It's easy to talk about artistic integrity and following your vision or sticking to your plans for a game, but that all diminishes when it comes to having to earn enough money to live from with this. This is where reality meets ideal and this is where, as a creator, you will and have to make compromises. After Choices wants to create her games, but she also needs to earn her living with them, and she will of course try to adjust the games so that she can get the most possible support for them.
And that isn't treason or betrayal, that is what thousands upon thousands of creative people do every fucking day, trying to find a way to make a living, while doing what they love, even if that sometimes means they'll have to compromise.
It's all fine and dandy to drone on and on about democracy (when it comes to a fucking porn game of all places) and artistic vision or integrity, but I do have to wonder if anybody who has a family to support or has ever been in dire financial circumstances, can be so idealistic and tbh. naive.

I recently made a thread about how many devs are leaving or have left the side due to aggressive and insulting and completely toxic behaviour of certain members of the forums and that mods and admins should be more willing to punish these people, because not only is it already in the site rules that this type of harassment is not allowed, that we actually have devs interacting with what is basically a pirate community, is actually pretty great, and we should cherish that.
Doesn't mean we need to kowtow to every dev and praise the ground he/she/they walk upon, but it does mean, treat them with the same respect and courtesy everybody fucking deserves.

This game-thread here has once again proven that true, even if it wasn't exactly the group I was originally talking about, who is behaving like crap in this one.

Basically, the dev decided that the previous game had run its course and wanted to start a new game. They had learned a lot from the previous story and wanted to start a new one. This ultimately ended up being Naughty 40. However, there was a strong fan demand to continue Free Pass from fans on the forum and on Patreon. So Afterchoices made the decision to also restart Free Pass with a new story and better renders. This has caused a kind of internecine civil strife here in the forum not dissimilar to what the dev was fleeing in Myanmar. That's right. Folks here are screaming at a person and calling them a traitor after they fled for their lives from a country where people are being extrajudicially executed by a military junta. Stay classy F95zone.

I support Afterchoices and whatever game they choose to make. Things have happened in their life that has changed how they want to make the game and I find many of the folks posting here to be unbearably rude and their conduct very unbecoming. I like both versions of the game for different reasons. Anyway, to cut this off you should play the new version of the game yourself and draw your own conclusions. There is a lot to love. There may also be content you missed in the tail end of the old version that may give you context as to why a reboot happened in the first place.

Don’t you know other devs games you have to pay $ 15 or more to be able to vote in their polls. Usually $1 only gets you an email telling you about update progress in other games

You could also get with either Zoey or Sukkon I think maybe even Jasmin (but it's been awhile since I played the old version so I might be wrong on some) and Yoon and Michelle were finally getting closer and then boom everything lost destroyed and scrapped.

For now I'm going to wait for awhile and see what happens before I play anything new as I'm thinking at some point this is going to start spiraling into the remake/reboot hell that happens to many games like this especially when you go from one thing to a whole new thing. For now I'm waiting in the Kathoey thread instead.

Yeah, I got those too. I was also playing a lesbian route. I feel like a closer chapter would have been good just to give closure.

I was also kinda attached to the characters in Kathoey and am happily waiting to see if it continues. I thought that the relationship between the boyfriend and the eponymous character was sweet. It would be interesting to see what chaos Sukkhon brought to the proceedings.

I think he reboot is great, i like both versions of Yoon. The problem is, many players have already invested in the old version of Yoon and its story. I'm saying if this is the original version of FreePass, no one would complain.

It is very interesting and also telling to see what some people allow themselves to write here on this website...
Although you are always entitled to your own opinions, I think it is rather presumptuous to demand something more or less outright from a developer, especially when you have not even had to pay said developer a penny for their labour.
And even if some users drop a few quid here and there, they are just supporting the artist and are by no means acquiring a right to the artist's intellectual property or a say in what content is published.
Regardless of all the polls and votes, it's still their project and in the end they decide and no one else.

Well, I guess now even the last of us understood that some don't like this reboot; okay, fine & dandy and now what, are you going to bug her until she drops everything and starts from scratch again?!
It seems to me that some also see this as an obvious and sound strategy to get exactly what they want, which is nothing but unfair and mean, period.
Don't get me wrong, I really liked the "old game" as well, but as long as I can play the reboot how I want to and it stays with the possibility of a pure lesbian route, I'm already more than happy with it.
