Constructive criticism
Played the game yesterday, so here are my 2 cents
PROS:
- Some of the new changes made in characters are simply gorgeeeeeous. Yoon and Sukhon look a lot like their old selves, but with better textures and more polishes. The new characters look amazing. Michelle's new look is my favorite.
- Afterchoices improved her English a lot. With every new updated I've noticed how the dialogues and their structure improve, and they're easier to follow.
- The little additions to the camera filters are a small detail that I'm sure took a lot of work, but they look great.
- Some of the characters' origins stories' changes were done so good. Sukkhon and Andrew have a slightly different story in regards to their hobbies and how they're related to Yoon. Not gonna lie, I miss sweet Andrew who had a crush on Michelle and had those little cute moments together, but this Andrew was surprisingly good.
-Hubby now has more depth and character. It's amazing to be able to have more valid reasons to hate him
- I love how in the dialogues themselves, Afterchoices gives us a small explanation of the meaning or what they are. I've found VNs when they put things in their native language and they don't bother to either translate it or tells what it is, so the effort is very appreciated.
CONS:
-Like some others said, the story seems rushed now. I dunno if Afterchoices did it on purpose so we didn't have to experience again the slow burn we had in the original VN, but the pacing seems super weird. I love Sukhon, but the sense of reward is different now. In the original, there was some slight teasing, and I felt like I wont a marathon when they finally kissed. In this one, their relationship started sooo fast. Their interactions are cute, but feels off because of how fast it happens.
PERSONAL POINTS:
- Like I said, I loved all the changes, but personally for some reason I preferred old Zoe's look. There's no denying the skin tectures look amazing now, but the hairstyle from before? Felt like Afterchoices nailed it with the old one.
- It's as if Zoe and Sukhon changed personalities: The first one is a little more tamed, the second one is bolder now. As someone who played the original religiously, the change makes me feel weird.
- Goodbye to Jas' story, definitely. Such a shame. So far it seems Sienna is her own person (And she's cool), but it's a shame our old partner in crime won't come back
So yeah, this isn't meant to be mean but just a constructive criticism that I don't even know if Afterchoices will read, but always wish her the best.
